The wealthy love inflation. It makes their money more valuable by devaluing our buying power. It makes people desperate and primed for exploitation.

As long as we allow the ultra wealthy to control government things will continue to get worse for her average person.

The wealthy are openly hostile to working families and want to harm us. This should be obvious to anyone paying attention. For the same reasons they oppose union organization. They can’t tolerate working people being treated with dignity or respect.

We really need to deal with this open head wound affecting our society.

Inflation does not make wealth more valuable.

It lowers debt.

I take a loan for a million dollars. Since im ultra wealthy I lock in a low intrest rate not accessible to lower income, let's say 1% APY. I take that million dollars and buy oil. I wait a 5 years and let inflation double the price of oil. I take my oil and sell it.

Ive just made 950k by sitting around and doing nothing. I didnt pay taxes because I did the transactions from my LLC in the Caymens.

The rich can finance this lifestyle, the poor need that money for bread.

Inflation devalues portfolios. The wealthy don’t love it but they do take advantage of downturns to buy low.

Governments LOVE a little bit of inflation because it makes their old debt cheaper. No one loves when inflation is over 4%.

Even devalued in my hypothetical they still made the inflation equivalent of $475k for nothing. Expand this scenario to hundred of millions or billions and you start to understand how easy it is for the wealthy to stay wealthy.

Inflation isn’t money “made”. Inflation is that the price of goods increased. A person with a lot of money will hedge their portfolio so it’s protected against inflation - not use inflation as an instrument. The comment I replied to claimed the wealthy love it.

And no sh** that if you have money it’s much easier to survive a storm.

No. This is totally backwards and wrong. People who have money or lend money hate inflation. People who borrow money like it. If you have a million dollars you want zero inflation. If you owe a million dollars you'd rather pay it back in devalued currency.
