Did a study of a hand from reference and practised drawing my values in greyscale then colouring with a multiply layer

Saw Comedy Bang Bang tonight! Vic Michaelis and Paul F. Thompkins sang Defying Gravity in-character.

I went all in on Vic and Scott, but really had to cheat perspective for the rest and still ended up without room for PFT 😓

My recent goal has been to use watercolors in a way that looks this smooth and elegant 😭 that cool-toned tree color is beautiful

Tried drawing a KCD1 loading screen... Might have been a little ambitious on my part. Horse looks kinda weird but it was my first time drawing one.

Plein air rose of mine. I have no idea what kind of rose it is (it came with the house), but it smells nice.

What colour is it? I imagine it to be pink or a peachy pink. Great linework

1

u/OldestSisterAIiMH 1162 / 1162 14d ago

It is dark pink with a slight peachy-pink center.

Trying to teach myself animation and get back into art. Hope to use this sub to get practice in if it’s okay to post video. Technically it is just a fast slideshow of 30 drawings 😄

Anyway this is my first little loop in procreate dreams. If you have any learning resources I’d be interested

2

u/OldestSisterAIiMH 1162 / 1162 Sep 12 '26

It's definitely ok to post videos of your animations! Or just individual drawings, whichever. I love the how the shape of the blue figure changes as it moves.

Welcome!

Always fun to see animation get posted here, looking forward to seeing more from you!

This is an amazing video for beginners if you haven't already seen it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDqjIdI4bF4

I've also heard good things about animator island: https://www.animatorisland.com/courses/2d-animation/ I plan to go through their free resources myself, just haven't got around to it yet. Tbh this site doesn't seem to be functioning for me right now lol, but maybe you'll have better luck with it than me

1

u/OldestSisterAIiMH 1162 / 1162 Sep 12 '26

It doesn't look messy to me.. it looks like it's moving superfast and you managed to just catch it.
