Quiraing Car Park Access?

Has anyone been able to access the Quiraing car park since the C1225 road closure started? The ordinance states that it will only be closed while signage is up, so Iโ€™m wondering if weekends will be passable or if the car park is open from the Staffin side. Thank you!

The Quiraing road was briefly re-opened for a few days last weekend to facilitate access to northern Trotternish, following a landslide on the main road in Uig. That may have resulted in guests being able to access it as described by u/SimonTheRunner.

Now that the Uig landslide has been fixed, the Quiraing road is closed again, although I'm unclear on the extent of the closure at this time. I drove past the junction above Uig yesterday and the road was closed off there with barriers. I don't know what access from Brogaig currently looks like. Maybe someone from over that side will be able to comment.

I understand that the exact size or part of the road closed may evolve and change depending on exactly where the crews are working. So it's possible you may be able to drive to the Quiraing (from Brogaig currently looks more likely than from Uig) but I also wouldn't bank on it. Have alternative plans in case you can't drive up there.

Does anyone know if itโ€™s open now? Or where to find this info? Thanks!

I ended up emailing the Highland Council and it turned out the road was open over the weekend but closed again during the week. We did the hike on Sunday :)

It was great โ€” beautiful sunny day, and the car park was practically empty at 9am. Looks like youโ€™ll get sun this weekend too, enjoy!
