Pro Musk Musk says X will ban advertisers whose ads are "ugly, shrill, strident" or overstate claims. First reply: "So the Roadster is being stopped from advertising on X š
Elon posted that all advertising on X will now be subject to a "reasonable esthetic standard," and advertisers posting ugly, shrill, or strident ads, or ones that overstate claims about their product, will be barred.
The top reply points out the obvious: the Roadster and its "flying car" claims might be the first casualty of this policy.
Rules like this are only as good as who gets to decide what counts as "ugly" or "overstated."

How is he a Nazi? Can you define what a Nazi is?

What about this is Nazi related?

u/crimsonroninx 15h ago
lol. Amazing. "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command"
3
u/HandsomeWinner42 13h ago
Oh, it's a blatant NAZI salute. Hope this helps and you eventually get your eyes fixed.
7
u/Csmitty2112 23h ago
Well Nazis tend to do the nazi salute, which Elon did twice in a row on national TV. And if you are thinking of saying "he was throwing his heart out" go watch a video of the full gesture he did and compare it to videos of nazis. Or if you want to call it a Roman salute, that term was coined by Mussolini and his fascist party who the Nazis copied, so that defense is, he didnt copy the nazis he just copied the people the nazis copied, which is still copying the nazis.
-2
u/TriiCop 21h ago
You understand our own military does salutes right?
3
u/Csmitty2112 21h ago
There is a difference between our militaries salute and the nazi salute, but in case that wasn't enough for you there is more. Elon supports the AfD in Germany, which has repeatedly used Nazi slogans, literally copied a Nazi propaganda poster and its leader was convicted of using nazi slogans, which is illegal in Germany.
Elons grandfather was also a Nazi sympathizer in Canada prior to moving to South Africa. Said grandfather moved to South Africa because of the apartheid government and was a vocal supporter of it.
Shortly after Elon musk said he was going to make some tweaks to his AI grok, grok called itself Mecha-Hitler.
All of this combined with him doing THE Nazi salute, not some random salute, shows a pattern. 3 seperate actions from him showing nazi behavior and support for Nazis, plus a family history of supporting Nazis, is pretty damning.

Ukraine literally honors and names military divisions after Nazi Ukrainians in WWII who were founded to ethnically cleanse polish people, who were a step below Jews in the Nazi Heirachy.
Is everyone who supports Ukraine a Nazi by that logic? Especially since Zelensky openly supports ukraines Nazi divisions

This is how you end up with people believing things that are not true. Elon says this. People assume X is the filter before bullshit hit their eyes. Elon tells his version of the truth. Now we have a whole lot of idiots thinking theyāre smart.

I guess when he bought Twitter to save free speech he really meant he wanted to censor. Why people have been tolerating liars in this world is pretty telling about our future.

Hey, how about the guy who said roadster with 600 miles range, and 2+2 seats since 2017? How about "Full Self Driving" since announced 2016? "Appreciating assset " Even earlier 2026 said he said: "can text behind the wheel in FSD" That turn out to be overstated and should be barred from advertising right???? š

Cybertruck advertisements should be pulled off everywhere. So is the new poorly drawn ugly Murcielago-Vector mixup that carries giant carbon fiber tanks just for stunt.

This is reddit now. OP's post specifically calls out the 'first post' like it's a ratio but if you don't reply denouncing him with recycled jokes, you're on his side. Hate the guy but want a tiring bunch of people I. here

It's a proof of concept, what's the problem with it again?
11
u/TylerBourbon 1d ago
It's really not a proof of concept at all, No more so than the Delorean in Back to the Future is a "proof of concept" for a time machine. In a few shots of the footage, you can blatantly tell that it's not actually a car at all. It's a cart with the body/shell of a roadster put over it, sort of like if you put the body/shell of a mustang on a go-kart.
1
u/AuthenticatedHuman 20h ago
It moves under its own power and holds the correct shape. That is literally a PoC
1
u/TylerBourbon 20h ago
You clearly don't understand what a proof of concept is.
Faking something is NOT a proof of concept. And if it wasn't a real car, then it wasn't a proof of concept, it was just smoke and mirrors and another Elon scam. Just like the hyper loop.

u/AuthenticatedHuman 20h ago
The thing literally did a physical mid-air flip over 4 cars or something and youāre rewriting engineering definitions just because you think heās a āpedo naziā or some shit. Besides, itās literally the coolest thing ever, I canāt believe you canāt appreciate it. Stay mad

Maybe the fact that it was unveiled 9 years ago and been taking deposits since then?

Deposits on a flying car?
11
u/RipWhenDamageTaken 1d ago
Thatās a new feature that was tacked on an existing product that was open for deposits for the past 9 years.
Itās not my fault itās confusing.

u/GrillinFool 1d ago
So the ability to drive up a 90 degree wall and fly are just upgrades to the roadster? Same as adding a turbo or a convertible top? Did that sound a lot better in your head before you typed it? Itās perfectly OK to say you blew that one. But itās Reddit. So Iām not holding my breath.
Also, which existing product were these features added to?
6
u/Chris_HitTheOver 1d ago
Letās back up for a sec.
Can you just quickly clarify⦠it would seem you believe that one day youāre getting a flying Tesla with nitrogen thrusters.
Do I have that right?
0
u/GrillinFool 1d ago
I donāt believe they at all. Nobody is getting that. And this flying car is not just the Roadster with a new feature.
The guy I replied to said this flying car was just the Roadster with a new feature. I said ādriving up a wall and flying is the same as adding a turbo or a convertible top?ā
4
u/ApprehensiveFan1516 21h ago
It's a stunt to try distract people and soften the blow to the stock value from the fact that the Roadster has been delayed yet again.
There will be people out there who put down $50k deposits on these cars and have literally died of old age waiting for them.

I love how Reddit is just finding out that publicity stunts exist. Heās not selling these things any time ever. The regulatory rules alone will be years in resolving.

u/beefdx 1d ago edited 1d ago
Youāre apparently just finding out that the MO of Elon is to keep one foot firmly planted in the āthis is a real product for shareholders to considerā zone, and the other in the āitās just for fun, el-oh-elā zone. He is being intentionally obtuse while implying itās a real thing in order to drum up hype for his snake oil bullshit and pump the stock, so he can liquify his holdings and pay off his loans.
Itās the kind of financial shell game that is actually illegal, despite how hard it has been to historically prosecute. And if you need examples look no further than the lawsuits he is currently a party to.

Yea well half of the US is essentially illiterate so they donāt know otherwise.

half of the people here apparently invested at IPO as well, so probably half of the people here are uneducated aswell.

These people are jealous mad angry at the world and spend their entire existence on social media being told how to think. Any one of them would crumble face to face in the real world. Reddit is a cesspool mostly, not to be taken seriously. Itās got a lot of hilarious mental illness though. That is all itās for.
Iām here for some computer content updates and troubleshooting that help my businesses. There actual intelligent people here that donāt bash people and throw temper tantrums and call everyone a nazi because they have no idea how the world works.
Iād love a reality show where a redditor is forced to appear on live TV and have a discussion with a normal person. š

Elon is in emergency mode now that his Russian bot farm got taken down
Unfortunate timing for his roadster fabricated stunt⦠did not get the bot publicity pump he was planning. No wonder he allegedly throttled starlink
