As a Saints fan - I love this meme. The years that coulda-shoulda - all run through my head. The 70s, early 90s, late 90s early 2000s, then 2009/10/11 - all teams that might have beaten anyone "on the day" - just devo

Fremantle of 2026 are like St Kilda of 2009. They may appear in another grand final in only to lose again. In a few years from now they will be lucky to make a wildcard.

At least they won't be able to draw one - then have to come back with injuries the following week.

This popped up on my feed as a freo fan. Was at the game on Saturday and I cannot fathom having to come back a week later and replay a game of that emotional intensity. I was numb for at least 24 hours after the final siren.

Kind of insane it took the league that long to scrap the replay.

Ironically a good mate of mine went over to watch the Grandy with another mate who's first team is Saints. I figured at least he had a good counsellor by his side for the trip home
