Looking for advice with Fblthp

SO I’ve made changes to [[Fblthp, Impossibly Lost]]

It is still a self mill deck but I realized [[Exhibition Tidecaller]] and [[Glacierwood Siege]] can turn on themselves making you mill!!!

The win cons is still the same but I’ve side boarded [[Lluwen, imperfect naturalist]] out as it’s less nessecary in non aggro matchups so it’s still Fbl in grave and Likeness looter or Fbl in play and swing over

I’m looking for advice to improve the deck the land base is lower due to the curve pretty much hard braking at 2

I would add tetsuko umezawa or something like it to make sure you connect with the damage

Yeah, or another card with a similar effect if you find one. Flying might not be enough to garantee the damage goes through when it matters

Yeah, maybe a rogues passage/access tunnel type of land if you can fit it in 3 colors

Might sound weird, but I think the 4 mana kaito with ninjutsu would be really good. There's a cool interaction with fbl; you can let him deal the dmg, and with his shuffle ability on the stack u can ninjutsu him. Kaito is just great in many ways and also serves as an alt win condition. Plus, he surveils, which helps the mill plan. There will also be games where u can swing with ur 1 drop freely to get Kaito out (usually when ur on the play or vs control).

That doesn’t work does it? Ninjutsu is triggered on damage step and Fbl is after damage

Nope, it does work. Ninjutsu just has to be after blockers, but still in the combat phase. There is a window to do this after damage.

I’ve been working on my own (dimir) self mill Fblthp deck as well! I’d suggest [[stillness in motion]] if you find yourself self milling with a failed win con. Also depends on how your deck runs, but I’ve been using [[timeline culler]] to ensure I have access to a creature late game that I can attack with (since I can cast him from the graveyard with haste). Also since I’m running two colours, im using my only non-basics as evasion with [[escape tunnel]] x4 and [[rogue’s passage]] x4. I was using tetsuko for evasion in an earlier iteration but I found the lands much more reliable. [[Quag feast]] is a really good removal spell. And [[inspiration from beyond]] is nice for rifling through the graveyard and also activating tidecallers big mill in a low mana curve deck.

I’ve been using that in another build and love it does it play well with glacier and Exhibition
