Discussion Best accessibility features / apps to know about?
I just got my controller yesterday, and so far I like it a lot !
However, I know how many things are possible with the SC. What are the best examples ? What cool and useful stuff is possible ?
For example, is there a way to see charge % easily ? Any apps for it or extensions ?
Can I map trackpad’s zones as on steamdeck ? And how ?
Are there any cool and useful apps out there ?

If you record your gameplay, you can use 3D Controller Overlay to overlay a visual representation of what you are doing with your controller.

Steam is the app. The full functionality of the controller is locked behind Steam unless you use something like SISR. I believe on Linux there is a reverse engineered solution that opens up full functionality though.

Without steam it is working for me like Classic controller, but trackpads are not working. With Steam on and X hours later I found a settings which is perfect for me and i can play with trackpads.

When setting up commands does anyone have problems with the timing of them? Like which goes first and which follows up? For me it works when I initially set it up but if I restart the game the timing gets fucked. I tried using sub commands and two separate commands (manually timed.) chords and so on. Nothing works

Turn on Steam haptics in controller settings in case you don't have it on already! Really enhances games

If you are talking about the trackpads vibrations - yeah, it’s on by default for me. And I really love that thing. Even just sliding top to bottom for no reason on the page is amazing

Two words: Steam Input
When you dive into the settings you can map and change pretty much every button with dozens of different things.
