help wanted How can I get Microsoft on Steam Machine?

Hi Im a newbie on playing steam machine/steamOs. Can anyone teach me like i’m a 12yr old? I want to play a lot of videogames but they’re all MS compatible TIA :)

What kinda games do you wanna play that you can’t on steam? AFAIK only a few competitive ones with a certain type of anti-cheat don’t work

click the gear icon select properties then select compatibility on the left and check force compatibility and select proton experimental.

You don't need MS, if you have a game exe, right click, ad to steam. Go to steam, find the game and go to properties and compatibility. Change that to proton experimental.

If you're talking about games from like GoG or epic get heroic from the discovery store and link your accounts.

Are you referring to games available on the Microsoft store? Or games on Steam that are incompatible with Linux?

If you are installing them through steam you have to go to the settings (gear icon then properties) and go to compatibility and select proton experimental.

Ive only play cyberpunk on linux zero issues.

Not sure about the other 2 games.
