Native Apps Build Chromium for Steam Link?

Anybody with experience with the SteamLink Native SDK think it would be possible?

Short answer: No

Long answer: The hardware just isn't there. 256MB of usable memory along with the low spec CPU would not be a good time. The CPU is made primarily for H264 decoding and not any intensive tasks.

Good to know, thanks. Was just curious how I could utilize stuff I've already got. Guess I'll pick up another Raspberry Pi.

Interesting, didn't realize that.

even with low-spec hardware... I think a native browser would be neat on steam link. If not chromium, maybe Midori? https://www.midori-browser.org/

It shouldn't be hard actually. Qt is included in the SDK (and presumably on the steam link itself). I'll have to take a look and see if webkit is complied for it already as well. I would say a custom web browser optimized for 10 foot would be best.
