~Advice~ big mistake

so i recently sized up to 2g, after stubbornly ignoring advice to wait at least 6 months to size up each time. i had been sizing up each gauge (using half sizes) in less than a month and it seemed fine.

however, upon further inspection, it seems like my lobes are severely blown out and have been for a while. they also got infected right after the 2g switch.

i immediately took out my jewelry and cleaned out the holes, but i'm not sure what to do to fix this. is 2g a size that typically shrinks on its own or do i need surgery or what?? (i apologize for the lack of pictures, i can't seem to get it to show up on my camera)

Keep it clean, massage with some oil, try to stay calm. If it’s not showing up in pictures it may not be as bad as you think.

it's very painful, hot, and swollen, and was oozing pus and blood earlier, i just have a bad camera

In that case do not put oil in here and do not massage them till the pain goes away. Clean 2 times a day with sterile saline and watch them carefully. If the swelling and hotness stays the same after couple days or gets worse, you need to see a doctor. Personally I’d use mitamistin instead of sterile saline, but can’t really advice it here I guess

G you def need to size down and keep it clean. If it doesn’t get better in a day or two pain/redness/ooze wise go to the doctor

so usually a 0 or 00 is the point of no return for most people. anything under that will usually stretch back to be un noticeable.

On your infection problem - you need to keep them clean as others have said, and also let them breathe. don't put any jewelry in them until the infection clears. they will naturally size down during that time which is good because your ears weren't ready to stretch up anyways. stay at the 4g for longer and consider taping (very gradually over time) to get to a 2.

i agree with others that if it doesn't clear in a few days you need to get antibiotics from a doctor

jesus christ calm down. 2g is nothing. After the blowout heals the holes may be a little roomier but thats about it.

ok dude god forbid i want answers?? i heard someone say 6g was the limit so i just wanted to make sure. it's not that deep
