The name of Liquid IV always bothers the shit out of me. All IVs are liquid, except for Liquid IV, which is a powder.

It's a new fad. People, particularly alcoholics, just love finding some new product that supposedly extra hydrates you.
In general people have an obsession with being hydrated while also not just drinking water.

Counterpoint: there's been extra emphasis on exercising and getting extra protein and such for a few years now, and new electrolyte drinks are a part of that. Athletes like these types of products because they need the extra electrolytes, and these are generally better than Gatorade or Powerade. Even people who don't actually need these like to think that they do, which is why they got so popular so quickly

It's probably just normal hot chocolate mix with a bit of salt added to it.
Which, honestly... chocolate with salt is pretty good.

Some phone editing software has a pixelating brush. This looks like OP swiped it by accident after taking the screenshot, it genuinely happens sometimes. It's just a brush smudge like with ms paint.

I looked for the original screenshot but it's gone, and the cropped version no longer allows me to revert to the original. I think you're probably right, though. I would have noticed it on the original, and I certainly didn't do it intentionally. Ah well.

My wife sorts packages for ups and swears by regular liquid iv... Once the holiday starts she does driver assistant until Xmas. Usually she takes a thermos of hot chocolate. She might actually get some of this...

I am guessing you have never drank any Swiss Miss or any other powdered hot cocoa mix? NesQuik? They taste like absolute ass compared to real hot cocoa, but this isn't unique.

I have drunk several varieties of Swiss Miss, and hot chocolate all over Europe. My favorite is unquestionably the thick style I found in Slovakia. I opted for Swiss Miss in the title exactly because it takes like ass; it fit my impression of the product in the ad.

NGL as someone who works outside and at a very physical job, this actually sounds nice in the winter. I’m really bad about drinking water when it’s cold outside.
