This randomly popped up in my feed. It's kind of a nice bird's eye view of sumo, though the creator does seem to have been watching for longer, highlighting some interesting matches and sumo factoids.

I'm a relatively new Sumo enjoyer so I was unfamiliar with Tokushoryu but that first section of the video focusing on him hit me right in the feels.

Yes! That was so dramatic & his reaction was amazing. I love when the underdog wins!

I’ve been watching sumo for a couple of years and have seen quite a few YouTube descriptions of it. This is one of the most interesting and informative intros to the sport I’ve ever seen. I learned a few new things, too. Well worth watching!

I tried to watch it but switched off so quickly, something about his voice delivery just reminded me too much of the bajillion other sumo AI videos so I clicked off

I had this idea too at first, and there's a voice glitch later on in the video which has me wondering, but at the same time it flows quite well and the opening is not something an ai would come up with. It feels too well edited to be ai.

The creator also only has 2 videos, spread 3 months apart, so it's not a content farm (the other was about nascar).

I will say, I noticed those too...but if you look at the title slide, he actually types out "Written by me, not by AI" hahaha.

I do find it kind of sad that we have to ask these questions nowadays at all. Grifters made everyone be on their toes :x

Yeah, it didn't really show any signs of the usual AI slop, so I think it's legitimate.
Hope he does more sumo videos and gets some success, I yearn for more in depth stuff that isn't basics

(But narration stuff really grates me sometimes, I've clicked off so many videos due to it)

Good video for the curious.

Voice sounds AI. But the script and content may have been written by him.

I just wish he credited where he got the clips. There are a number of them that came from Tatsunami’s youtube.
