Discussion Why did they scrapped the idea of using kryptonite infused swords with deathstroke against superman in s2?

Maybe because the kryptonite would also have backfired on argus as in the show they used a lot of stuff made from kryptonian meterial which is affected by the kryptonite

That was just a way for them to get Kryptonite at all, they likely used it for Hank.

Because it doesn't matter that he has kryptonite swords if Superman's too fast and strong for him to use them.

Here is how I want to believe it went down;
Lex became head scientist and immediately pointed out that when radioactive materials glow there is a chance that means they are putting off enough radiation to ionize the air around them which would mean that either Slade would need to upgrade his gear with radiation sheilding but this idea was scrapped after the Metallos were acquired.
Then again they gave Henshaw a kryptonite heart so this is probably just cope over the fact that Slade wasn't utilized in combat as much in later seasons.

If they had gone with John Corben's Metallo instead of Slade, this would've been a key stage in his evolution into Metallo; initially starting as a man in a power suit, he would get a Kryptonite upgrade, then after Brainiac's invasion, would be injured enough to turned into the cyborg Metallo.

I don’t think they necessarily did, he just never ended up in an actual fight with any kryponians to use them. He interacted with the Kents, but never fought them
