Settle an argument with my wife
She says it is too low but I feel like it’s just about perfect. What does the internet think?

Lots of people posting lately asking “Is this too high?” so here is a quick guide on what is generally accepted TV placement procedure (GATPP) as seemingly defined by this subreddit.
Now let’s look at some opposite GATPP use cases.
I hope this helps clear up some questions. If you have any other rules to add, please comment below.

Viewing distance: 12-13 ft
Width of tv wall: 9.7 ft
Height of tv wall: 8 ft
The 85 inch tv would be maybe 1-2 inches shorter on width each side than fireplace, and from top red line to bottom red line.
The center of tv would be 57 inches off ground
The 75 inch tv would be maybe 5-6 inches shorter on width each side than fireplace, and from line right below the top red line to bottom red line still
The center of tv would be 54 inches off ground
I know 54 is already high, but given the viewing distance, I don’t feel either are horrific. And the 85 would just be bigger(obviously lol) and align nearly perfect with fireplace. Does it go up too high towards the ceiling?
I have my fireplace about 10 inches off floor, and leaving 8 inches between fireplace and tv( don’t plan too heat, but left it for proper spacing, no sound bar will go under.

New build so the mantle could have been designed to be lower. Love this place but ow… hard to watch anything.

I could mount it exactly where it is, but what’s the point of that at this point? Keep it on the feet are that one, the outlet is above it so there’s no cords on the mantle for cable management.
Thoughts?

Just installed this 75 incher. It maybe needs to be a couple of inches lower. Thoughts?
Edit: This room is not yet finished if you (judging from the comments) couldn't tell so furniture placement and props are not finalised. Secondly the reason the tv is not standing on my beautiful bespoke console is because the surface is too narrow for the tv legs. It is however a perfect for my jbl 1000 soundbar and my pet rocks to sit on
Edit 2: I love how divided this community is lmao. Reading the comments is really entertaining yall, keep em coming
