Short 86 Henry Fonda

Mike Ditka passed away today at 86. Talking with my first wife about this, since she is a huge Chicago Bears fan, and it reminded me of this story.

Years ago in one of my first server jobs, I rounded the corner and saw 'Henry Fonda' written on the 86 board. I was still fairly new to the restaurant, and figured I would ask my friend Scott what a 'Henry Fonda' was.

'Scott, what's a 'Henry Fonda'?

'Huh?'

'What's a 'Henry Fonda?'

'What are you talking about?'

'Henry Fonda' is written on the 86 board, so what is it?'

'Dude, Henry Fonda died today.'

I laughed for days about that, and still smiled today remembering.
