Design/Concept Question

I’ve been wanting this tattoo as a back piece since the moment I saw her in person many moons ago! The problem I’m having is I’m not sure the patina portion can be done correctly. She is a family plot marker in a Cleveland cemetery but the beauty of her aging is what draws you into her! Can the realism be brought through and more so can the patina look be captured?

The right artist can absolutely do this justice - but don't cheap out.

Are you going for realism? The right artist could definitely do this justice, especially because I think the back is the only place big enough to actually make this shine.

Aged look yes, color hell no..even with the best of artists, this much detail and color is gonna end up a big muddy mess in a few years…

I would absolutely go for line work with some nice light shading to make it pop…stay away from color

Especially turquoise, it is very stubborn to laser off if you ever need to.
