Guys let's try to be kind in this sub. Not everyone is techy.

2.3k Upvotes

I noticed one thing lately. Ang dami kong nakikitang rude redditors dito.

Bakit kayo rude? Dahil nabobobohan kayo sa mga nagtatanong? Matapang behind the keyboard lang ba? Ung iba dito parang nanghaharass pa dun sa mga nagtatanong. Ung iba valid naman and may point naman ung mga tanong and posts, grabe kung ibash. Kinagaling ninyo yan?

Not everyone is kasing galing ng iba or maalam talaga sa tech. Madami joined this sub for them to know what they didn't know.

It is easier to be kind rather than rude.

Report to me pag may mga ganitong redditors in this sub. Let's try to avoid making this a toxic space. Let's help each other as much as we can.

Share ko lang dahil sobrang pogi!

Bought this case for ₱1,495 (50% off the original price) when Digital Walker slashed prices by 50% on all iPhone 17 Pro Max cases.

Wrist Strap from LAUT (still kinda bummed na the blue one comes with gold accents instead of silver).

iPhone 18 Pro Max Preorder with Smart (Plan Renewal)

• Upvotes
All of my main phones lined up. I think I'm giving off too much statement that I love the color blue hehe

I finally got my hands on the iPhone 18 Pro Max in Glacier from Smart!

I have made a post regarding the preorder on the same subreddit which can be found here. The timeline goes as follows:

October 10 - I went to the mall, inquired and found that availing through PowerMac wasn't going to cut it. I then decided to just avail the renewal of my Smart Postpaid w/ Device Plan. Informed of my options and filled up some papers. I was advised it was subject to evaluation still, and to expect a call before launch date.

October 15 - No update still. I called their hotline and was told to reply to the email of the staff that assisted me (the confirmation email they asked to type CONFIRM to, that's where I replied) to ask for a follow-up. Later within the day; I was told I was approved and expect a call within 24 hours on when to expect the availability of my unit.

October 16 - Launch day. Around 2PM, their hotline called me but I wasn't able to answer because I was outside and didn't felt my phone rang. Dialed their hotline and waited for about a good hour and a half queue, got to a person, asked if the inbound call was about the details of my device, and they had no clue what the call was for and was, again, advised to ask through the confirmation email about the status.

Emailed the staff around 5:23PM, and received a reply at 5:26PM that unit is available for pick-up. I replied that I'll be able to by October 17 or 18 since I was at work.

October 17 - Pick-up day! Went to the mall and told the personnel up front assisting customers that I was there for my phone pick up. She didn't even gave me a queue number and went straight to the staff I was talking with through email and was told I'd be next when she finished assisting her current customer. There was a good line btw, and I was prioritized.

Waited for about 30 minutes in-store, keep in mind I was prioritized and still took a good half hour, but it was my turn next and got my device! It's kind of disappointing I never got the 512GB version of the device, during initial assessment, I told I preferred Glacier 512GB, then Silver as an option. I also exclaimed that I would be fine if it was 256GB - it seems the 512GB had either high demand or low stocks according to what they informed me.

Got my device! Happy kid here!

For my monthly plan, maintained Signature Plan L still, Plan 1999, since it's my renewal, I opted for Option 3 on the website, having the device cashout as full amortization. During my pick up, I only paid for the first monthly amortization of the device, which was 2,900 pesos.

Signature Plan L - 1999

Full Amortization of Device - 2900

Monthly: PHP4,899 for 24 mos.

Also for additional context, I only decided to get the latest iPhone 18 Pro Max simply because I wanted to give my Mom my old 16 Pro Max. I wasn't even planning on upgrading from the beginning, just wanted her to have something nice - my prior phone still works and functions really, really well.

Samsung Tab S10+ purchase

hello i'm trying to find where can i purchase a brandnew s10+ tab, unavailable kasi siya sa samsung online store. I saw ones in shopee & lazada on their verified store pero i'd prefer to buy them directly para wala na hassle sa mga courier stolen/lost items.

Baka may alam kayong store na pwedeng puntahan around metro manila 🙏

Planning to get a tablet: any recom?

Since I already have a laptop from work and a smartphone, I’m planning to get a tablet as a back up for work-related tasks and for entertainment na rin. I still have the MacBook Air M1, but I plan to sell it since I don’t need two laptops at the same time. I feel like having a tablet would be more practical and convenient due to its portability. May main use would be for the following:
- editing of docs
- Excel (trackers, simple spreadsheets)
- editing PowerPoint
- accessing OneDrive and SharePoint
- sending emails and using Teams for coordination
- access to Copilot Business

What can you recommend that can do the tasks mentioned above efficiently? My budget is 30k below. Initially, I thought of getting an iPad classic, but nabasa ko na mas efficient and Galaxy tab since they have a desktop mode?

Appreciate your suggestions. Thank you!

Loving the battery on this. I used it for my work the next day and it definitely lasts longer compared to my 17 Pro Max when I also used it for my work the next day.

MacBook Neo worth it or should I just get an Air? 😭

Planning to use it mainly for school stuff (Canva, websites, Docs, multitasking) but also wondering if kaya niya ang mid-heavy video editing

Is the Neo fast enough, or should I save up for the MacBook Air M4/M5 instead? Would love to hear from actual users<//3

Totoo po ba yung cycle lang para ma fix ang issue sa battery?

• Upvotes

Thoughts on Vivo Y31D?

I am tempted to buy it instead of Samsung A17 due to price difference. Mas mura kasi ang Vivo.

I want the 8gb ram/256 gb storage in which 21,000 ang Vivo while sa Samsung is 26k or almost 30k.
I'm not expert nga lang sa ibang specs. I just want more ram and storage.

For basic socmed and light gaming ako pero need ko na affordable and tatagal ng 5 yrs and/or more kasi 5 yrs na itong Samsung A02S ko kaya baka may opinions kayo?

Thank you.
