One of the most consistent discographies in music.

Most artists can't manage to even release twelve albums, nevermind have a total banger of an album 35 years after their debut.

The Purge, A Glorious Epoch, Majesty and Decay. I like it about as much as Close To A World Below and Here In After. Probably one of my favorite metal bands up there with Opeth, Suffocation, Kreator or Sodom.

A glorious epoch.

The riff at the intro and the outro is majestic, as the title suggests!

I first listened to Here In After almost 30 years ago and absolutely loved it. But for some reason I never followed up on them. I just remember the name. Then when this album came out and there was the CD at the store I bought it and was wowed again. And this is what made me go through their catalogue

A Thunderous Consequence is my favorite song on this one. Beautiful album all the way through though

OP thank FUCK for sharing this because I haven't listened to Immolation and I NEEDED this, just bought Descent, goign to have to catch up! I used to listen to Majesty and Decay all the time, this was one of my favorite heavy bands. No idea why I fell off them.

You're welcome, they have many very very good albums. Descent is definitely one of the best, even in their league!

As good as this album is, it’s not even in my top 5 from them. That’s how good and consistent they are. Maybe it MIGHT sneak in at no 5. I don’t know, man. Stop yelling at me.

Basically their first 5 are top 5 for me, Here in After at #1. The rest are still consistent as hell
