Has anyone else experienced this braking issue?
I’m taking my 2025 Tesla Model 3 in for service tomorrow. I was driving in stop-and-go traffic on I-4, and when I took my foot off the accelerator, the car didn’t slow down like it normally does. The brake pedal also felt like it had more travel than usual, and the car took longer to stop. I heard a rattling/knocking noise to behind the brake. It happened again after I pulled over, although the noise was less noticeable. I tested the brakes before driving home, and they seemed to work normally.
It had rained nonstop the previous week, but my car was parked in a garage that day. I drove to college that morning without any issues, but the problem happened on my way home.
The car has about 16,000 miles. Has this happened to anyone else? It’s still under warranty, so the issue may be covered. Tesla gave me a $250 estimate for a courtesy inspection/general diagnosis. The estimate lists 0.5 hours of labor at $125, so I’m not sure how they calculated the $250 total. They said the charge would be waived if the cause is covered by warranty.

regen braking is turned off when HV battery is close to 100%, had you just charged to full?
at a GM owned company one regular maintenance task was to take each EV into a private parking lot, run it up to 25-30 mph then brake hard
