After the Halloween update here in Los Angeles now the car plays an alert and shows speed camera along with an icon showing where it is. Any of you seen the same?

In my M3 it always has been displayed if I paid premium connectivity.

you know the answer to that, nope it won't but it sure will slow down out of nowhere in the same spot everyday for unknown reasons

That feature has been there for years. But seems like they recently added the LA speed cameras which have been installed relatively recently.

I try to look around to see if is accurate but LA traffic is always in a rush.

I think what happened in the OP case is that either Tesla added those cameras to the map, or those cameras were recently installed. I've always gotten an alert for speed cameras ever since I bought my Model 3. It's been over 3 years.

I do wish it’d let us download other apps like Waze, Discord, Apple maps, Google Maps, etc.

Yeah, that capability was installed about 18 months ago.
