Honestly, when I saw the reveal and the demo - the Roadster just felt like it was straight out of a James Bond movie.
In fact, it would have been absolute cinema to reveal the Roadster in the next film. Keep it secret and not shown in any of the movie trailers, and then bam: There it is in the movie with Q introducing the tech - incognito - no Tesla badge or anything, the mention of the thrusters and suction, with the audience in complete and total belief it is a fictional Bond movie car. Then when the time comes, he uses it to barrel roll and do all of those crazy stunts with the obligatory JB soundtrack.
Only at the end Franz makes a cameo appearance and asks Bond how the "Roadster" is and when the credits roll there is B-roll confirming the many takes and all of the stunts is actually not CGI. The crowd reaction in the theatres would have been insane and of course the desirability and cementing in the halls of the James Bond gadget cars. There probably would have been no better way to introduce this car actually. Just something straight out of James Bond.
