Matrix Headlights

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Why doesn’t Tesla do this with their Matrix Headlights? Seems like this can be done with a software update. Pretty cool!

Edit: I think some people are missing the point on this video. Your low beams light up the entire road. What you’re seeing in the video is the high beams lighting up a section of road in front of the car. Then when you change lanes those high beams shift to that lane so you can see better.

Because it's brighter and it lights the lane in front of you further so you can see better right in front of you. Who cares how it looks, it has a functional purpose that falls into the safety category

Are you really stupid defending stupidity?

Are you really that stupid to be complaining about this and thinking it doesn't enhance safety even the slightest?

You are really stupid to see it okay for high beam to use as low beam and vice versa. LOL.

What people would do if they have a glare from a white paper on the dash.

The high beams used like this in matrix lights aren't blinding anyone. They selectively dim individual diodes so the ones that shine higher are off. I know this is all rocket science for you but it's ok. Nothing wrong with being a little slow

Having the ability to use low and high beams without blinding anyone is a big feature in my books.

Of course, that's the safety feature everyone want and Tesla was able to enable on their cars when they upgraded all headlights to matrix.
