Matrix Headlights

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Why doesn’t Tesla do this with their Matrix Headlights? Seems like this can be done with a software update. Pretty cool!

Edit: I think some people are missing the point on this video. Your low beams light up the entire road. What you’re seeing in the video is the high beams lighting up a section of road in front of the car. Then when you change lanes those high beams shift to that lane so you can see better.

I can think of a million reasons why having some useful peripheral light could be useful.

Why make such overly complicated solutions when the old style ordinary light bulbs worked FINE?
