Jaha

Ive rewatched the 100 a good 10 times and never understood why people hate jaha, but now. I get it. He is pissing me off to the max “our people need to survive” STFU. Idk why this man thinks his people are the end all be all but theyre really not. He thinks he is superior, if i was the leader in that bunker i wouldve kicked that mf out.

I understand the hate the jaha gets, but overall he's a pretty interesting character and i liked him in the show despite everything.

Everyone is obsessed with “their ppl” though. That’s certainly not unique to jaha

I mean, most of them understood sacrifice. Hell the grounders even volunteered to die for eachother, jaha wanted everyone to die to save his own people and class it up as “saving the human race” as if theyre the only ones.

I still love him. I think he really tries to save everyone when they are searching for the bunker. He really helps Octavia hold them together. Plus camp jaha is funny

He only ever cared about his own people, he was extremely selfish

That’s EVERYONE in the show. Everyone picks “my people” and will cut a bitch or a thousand to keep their people alive, even if they only really like a handful of their people. The exception would be someone like Luna who chooses not to choose which doesn’t really save anyone. The characters are told early on that if you try too hard to save everyone you end up saving almost no one, not when the resources are so few and the odds are so hard. The best choice is to save the greatest number of useful people who will perpetuate and preserve what’s left of the human race, and some characters, like Octavia, are too concerned with what’s “fair” instead of the greater good.

Honestly yeah, he had his bad moments but i thought he was a good person overall

He was technically a good person. But in the way of "I know best. I know how to save our people. I know what to do." kind of way. He always gave of an entitled vibe, like he had all the answers and no one else possibly could do better. Yet TEENAGERS nearly brokered a peace treaty before they arrived.

I love Jaha ! Tbh I think a lot of the characters have a kind of sunk cost situation going on with their emotional arcs, like as time goes on they’ve all done so much “in the name of their people” that to relinquish at any point would be to render all their hellish behaviour and crippling losses utterly meaningless. And that’s just too ouchie

Like what a nightmarish revelation to live with, the boys love ignorance

S-Tier Jaha moment is when he gets that dramatic hood reveal in I wanna say s3 ep ? 12? In Polis I think? Anyway it’s so diva I love it

I was biased about him prior to watching because the actor said homophobic remarks to another actor, so that grossed me out. But I agree, Jaha does get super self righteous and annoying

I don’t hate him, but I also don’t like him and not entirely because of the same reasons as everyone else.

He annoyed me tf out in s3 but other than that I find him quite agreeable. I also don’t think he was a bad leader. Everything he did on the arc was justified IMO. He just had a tendency to overestimate his self importance.

I’ve rewatched the show maybe 4 times now and i love to hate jaha every time. He has his moments but after all he’s just an arrogant ass. He thinks he’s above everyone somehow intellectually while he’s probably made the dumbest decisions out of all of them.
