Those I like and haven't been performed live in decades:

Sinking

Cut here

A thousand hours

Out of this world

When I saw them play the Greek in 2000 I was walking to the snack bar and they were sitting backstage writing up the setlist. Robert yells out to me and my g/f at the time "Hey, what song would you like to hear?" and I froze and started thinking about it and yelled back "Sinking!"

And they played it near the end of the main set. It was awesome.

I think I would’ve yelled back “I’m going to have to come over there I can’t hear you very well from here” haha

u/ossapolverose 3d ago

They busted out 1000 hours on the last world tour…was very pleased to get it finally in Montreal!

5

u/BluEyez1976 3d ago

I saw them in New Orleans and they played it and Six Different Ways!

u/ArtVandalaysButler 3d ago

A Letter to Elise!!!

2

u/Amazing_Relation1737 2d ago

They played it live at Nimes 2026, on the 3 concerts. Not the best live version ever. Ah Porl, how do I miss you.

2

u/ArtVandalaysButler 2d ago

I’ve never seen them in concert unfortunately, so I’d be happy to hear anything played live lol

  1. The Kiss 2. This Twilight Garden 3. One More Time

1

u/ianmckaye 2d ago

Its really hope they introduce The Kiss back into the live set. Its such a intense experience and the song is perfect to extend indefinitely and go wild.

Siamese Twins

u/Slowdivian 3d ago

A Few Hours After This
How Beautiful You Are
Breathe
Fear of Ghosts

u/Amazing_Relation1737 2d ago

Agree on A Few Hours After This if they played the version on The Head on the Door Deluxe, extremely funny and vibrant, not the boring one with fake strings we have on Join The Dots.

LaMent, A Short Term Effect, The Baby Screams, Six different ways, The Top, Torture, End, Watching me Fall, A chain of flowers, breathe, The big hand

Really good list. It really shows off their range. Such a brilliant band

9

u/RedBushDiver 3d ago

Same deep water as you. Thats it. Just that one and I’ll be good.

Well, they can play an extended version of A Forest and I’d be happy too.

2

u/ashburns54 3d ago

Yes. And apart and to wish impossible things. That new one it can never be the same too.

I've been lucky enough to have seen all of these live. Piggy & Untitled on the Prayer Tour The Kiss on the Dream Tour Bare on the Swing Tour

Wishing you similar luck.

3

u/EmotionSix 3d ago

The Kiss is insanely good live. Heard it in 1996

The Same Deep Water as You, How Beautiful You Are, To the Sky, Open

13

u/watcheroftheskies1 3d ago

5

They did this live on the last tour. It was soooo good.

Carnage Visors

I finally heard Treasure live (I posted the video from Manchester).

I still want to hear: Halo, Underneath the Stars, M and In Your House.

3

u/imk 3d ago

I have only heard them play M on the Curiosa tour. Apparently they played it all the time up to around 1985 and then they dropped it. It's a shame as it is one of my all-time faves by them.

5

u/MySadCat_7 3d ago

Other Voices and Primary.

4

u/Milt85 3d ago

Cut Here

Birdmad Girl

Truth, Goodness And Beauty

1

u/Ordinary-Ship-1930 3d ago

Great choices

5

u/ikediggety 3d ago

Splintered in her head

3

u/Ordinary-Ship-1930 3d ago

Saw them play it at the Reflections shows. It was superb

1

u/ikediggety 3d ago

Jelly. Was lol on rototoms?

1

u/Ordinary-Ship-1930 2d ago

Not rototoms, just standard toms...augmenting Jason

1

u/ThorHammerslacks 3d ago

That would be mad

4

u/martinjohanna45 3d ago

A Few Hours After This (I think this could work if it was just Robert and Roger. Could be the first song of an encore.)
A Short Term Effect
The Baby Screams

5

u/un-albertoperez 3d ago

Harold and Joe.

Burn was one of those but finally could enjoy it live.

6

u/imk 3d ago

I have been going to Cure shows since 1985. Songs that I have never heard them play that I love:

  • A Short Term Affect
  • Underneath The Stars
  • Upstairs Room
  • Drowning Man
  • Exploding Boy

4

u/TheExplodingBoii 3d ago

To The Sky would be quite something if Robert pulled that out of his pocket one night.

4

u/GoodCraicLover 3d ago

How Beautiful You Are
This Twilight Garden
Out of this World

5

u/cheesehater 3d ago

Siamese Twins
Fear of Ghosts
The Kiss
All I Want

5

u/Puzzleheaded-Carrot2 3d ago

Plainsong

1

u/Ed_Allan_Didak 3d ago

It’s such a perfect opening track I dint know why it wouldn’t open every show

4

u/TheHarborym 3d ago

All I Want

A Pink Dream

3

u/graveyardcafe 3d ago

If i had one wish for a Cure song to be played live, just one, it would be To Wish Impossible Things. They never play it for some reason and it’s such a beautiful haunting song.

3

u/Ok-Ear7751 3d ago

Dredd Song, Sirensong, Just One Kiss, Japanese Dream

3

u/ThorHammerslacks 3d ago

Sirensong is so undersung

Literally and figuratively

2

u/Ok-Ear7751 3d ago

You can say that again. Pretty much all of 4:13 Dream deserves recognition live except The Scream.

3

u/TinyBeginning5776 3d ago

From the edge of deep green sea.

3

u/ageric 3d ago

Back when they were playing a bunch of b-sides (mid 2010s), I was bummed that they never got around to playing A Pink Dream

3

u/_itsobvious 3d ago

Homesick

3

u/Ed_Allan_Didak 3d ago

A Pink Dream

3

u/thatguymilton 3d ago
  1. To The Sky (My favorite Cure song OAT)
  2. Plainsong
  3. This Twilight Garden
  4. Torture
  5. Open

3

u/Parking-Basis-2283 2d ago

The answer is always: From The Edge of the Deep Green Sea

2

u/Salt-Fee-7223 it's got to be jazz, that's what she wants 3d ago

the figurehead, fear of ghosts, fire in cairo (the fact that fire in cairo is not on any of their numerous live LPs/DVDs is crazy)

2

u/Public-Ice-1270 3d ago

Halo. Breathe. Snow in Summer. The Big Hand.

2

u/OriginalElegant9696 3d ago

The Only One, Cut Here, and Treasure (I’ve been lucky enough to hear all my other favorites)

2

u/baconcheeseburgarian 3d ago

Ariel

Chain of Flowers

This Twilight Garden

Lament

Forever

2

u/Juice-RPh 3d ago

Home, Drowning Man, Never Enough

2

u/RxngsXfSvtvrn 3d ago

The Figurehead

2

u/krishnarandy 3d ago

Ahhhhh I love reading all of these. I adore fans of The Cure so much! Anyhoo, I’m on board with How Beautiful You Are. I remember being so surprised by that song when I first heard it as a teen. Also Six Different Ways I love. I love love love To The Sky. Wouldn’t mind hearing Kyoto Song. From The Edge of the Deep Green Sea always slays me, but we did hear that live a few years back. 💚

2

u/Loud_Success_6950 2d ago

Push is my favourite cure song so I’d go with that, although it apparently gets played often but I’ve never seen them live so I’d still wanna hear it live.

2

u/Victim_of_reason 2d ago

I have a list of B-sides I’d love to hear live!

Not a B-side but I love the intro they opened with on each date on the wish tour. I have seen it already but I can’t get enough of watching Roger play guitar haha!

B-sides I haven’t seen/heard live:
Halo
A Foolish Arrangement
The Big Hand
Fear of Ghosts
Babble
Breathe
Snow in Summer
To The Sky
Sugar Girl

The Forest

7

u/Tricky_Pass_3641 3d ago

Ooh, not just A Forest? A very specific one. :)

1

u/Hai_ficcato 3d ago

I heard them play a ten minute version a few years back, a great song that’s even better live.

1

u/Complete_Taste_1301 3d ago

I have seen them many times and they structure their shows so well that I haven’t felt like they left anything out. I would love to see them do Labyrinth again.

1

u/Connectification 3d ago

Untitled. The Funeral Party. Seventeen Seconds. The Empty World. Jupiter Crash. There is no if.

1

u/Rough-Tap1 3d ago

I like Push live, especially the Anniversary recording. This past festival tour Robert changed the way he sang the third go and no and gets me every time I sing along.

1

u/Ordinary-Ship-1930 3d ago

Itd good but its played too often atvthe expense of others

1

u/Cainjake 3d ago

Maybe someday, cut here, underneath the stars, loudest sound

u/doubleb_43 3d ago

One Hundred Years, Siamese Twins, The Figurehead, Cold. Pornography’s my fav Cure album and they didn’t play anything from it the 2 times I saw them 2023 (still amazing shows though).

1

u/ELDR3TH 2d ago

Would love to hear hanging garden

1

u/lukcho2017 2d ago

Want and A Pink Dream.

Pornography. The Kiss. The Snakepit. A Short Term Effect. The Figurehead. Like Cockatoos. Sinking. How Beautiful You Are. Labyrinth.

I’ve seen all of these live, except for Pornography and Labyrinth.

I wish they would open with The Kiss again.

u/Inside_Education_614 1d ago edited 23h ago

Where do I even start... Just know this isn't all of em. Also this is if they were playing currently. What I mean is I would have different choices if it was like 1986 or 1992.

Sinking, Fight, The Caterpillar, Bananafishbones, Fire in Cairo (the actual song not a mini Robert solo), Seventeen Seconds, The Exploding Boy

Edit: Let me add Delirious Night on there too.

1

u/sactofan01 21h ago

I love the Faith album, so I would seriously enjoy hearing The Holy Hour and All Cats Are Grey, much like they did in Paris 1989…

I’ve heard This Twilight Garden on some recordings and it sounds awesome live, too…
