The painting reminded me of this scene from The last Unicorn

Older picture I drew from way back, wanted to share. Made by referencing stock from fae stock https://faestock.com/ (stock credit link) 🦄💜

I was looking to purchase and use this box as pen storage but wasn't entirely sure if the padding was glued in or otherwise affixed to the box. Would it be difficult to remove or ruin the box if I were to do so?

Hi!! Hopefully this is ok to post on here, I just wanted to share my cover of the main theme from the last unicorn. I love the movie

Last year, I posted a number of The Last Unicorn scenes set to songs from Asia. After countless delays including computer problems and sifting through a number of songs from both the Wetton and Payne eras, I finally settled on “The Last Time” from the John Payne era album Aura.

I might also post the rejected versions later on.

DISCLAIMER: Like the others, this video is blocked in both Germany and Austria, so my dearest apologies for those inconvenienced by this.

I designed the chart and everything to handle my emotions from reading the book.

The dress doesn't have the little purple bits running down the middle as the character has but I feel those would spoil it and I like it how is now!

I plan to later do the full cosplay of this with wig etc but for now the dress is made :)

Its made of two overlayed fabrics, a cheap purple polyester and nicer blue chiffon.

It was my first time sewing an overlayed material like this and the materials frayed terribly.

My grandma was a seamstress and she took a look at a reference image and just drew the dress onto fabric, she sewed the parts I struggled most with on the dress and did some major heavy lifting.

I sewed the two materials together for each panel, zigzagged all the rough edges which took a while and was hard on slanted lines, the material frayed in two directions on the same line at points so had to flip it around. I also cut the parts drawn out which SHOULD be easy but to cut straight is harder than it seems when material is slipping!!

I’ve been trying to sketch more for mental health reasons and to encourage my students to be more ambitious in their sketchbook. I’m considering making this into a full blown artwork. I think I wouldn’t call is, What Did the Butterfly Say.

At the beginning, it stated that men can't see her horn, but I wonder, can trans people? Personally, I feel like they both would be able to, but I wanna know what long-term fans think about this!!! (I am a pretty new fan and had just recently gotten into it :3)

I've recently gotten into collecting signed books, and while I'm focusing on new writers and indies who could use the support, I would love a signed Last Unicorn, as its my absolute favourite. Is there any reliable way to get one? I see there was a Folio Society colab I missed - is there perhaps anyway to verify a used copy? I know ebay is mostly scammers, but...

Hi guys, I read The Last Unicorn some time ago and I can’t stop thinking about similarities between A Song of Ice and Fire and TLU. I think in some interview G.R.R. Martin said Lady Amalthea inspired Dany’s character (at least visually).

I think there are several parallels between Daenerys and Lady Amalthea. Daenerys stepping into the fire and finally embracing who she is — the Mother of Dragons — mirrors Amalthea embracing her identity as the last unicorn. Dany also brings dragons back into the world, just as Amalthea frees the unicorns. She is visually similar to Lady Amalthea as well, with her white hair and purple eyes.

Daenerys is also often considered to be The Last Dragon, paralleling The Last Unicorn.

Prince Lir as Khal Drogo: Lir/Drogo is the last thing keeping Amalthea/Dany grounded in the human world and away from magic. After his death, Dany is able to perform the magic ritual that brings the dragons back, just as Amalthea is able to drive away the Red Bull.

Hi friends! this time I made the booby madame that almost suffocates Schmendrick! I hope you guys like her I did my best to try and capture her spirit and delicate flowers which I made with cold porcelain, I also added the rope surrounding her wrist as a little easter egg 😊 thank you so much for all the love and support I received in this group previously 💜🙏

my friend makes the prettiest nails ever (she made me a twilight set as well!) so had to share them here

i wanted to share my new tattoo of the last unicorn! i thought this sub would appreciate it 🩷
(for reference the tattoo is on my right inner bicep. design was drawn from a still of the movie ~15 minutes in, when she’s sleeping before being taken by mommy fortuna)

my mom introduced the movie to me when i was little, and it’s been a huge comfort movie for me ever since. i’ve always loved the unicorn and really identified with her - although i can see myself in other characters, especially molly as i’ve gotten older (her first scene with the unicorn will never not bring me to tears). the last unicorn holds such a special place in my heart, I’m so happy to always have her with me!
