Question for bass players here.

Does anyone know what settings Jonny Greenwood is using for the delay effect in No Words? That music is badass but the delay time is tricky.

Any help appreciated

I made this tab a while ago. It’s a 5/16 delay with short feedback, similar to the one he uses on guitar for Thin Thing and other songs.

Thats huge! Are you 100% sure on the setting? Thanks!

I tested it and it sounds pretty similar.

It’s cool that that is a song he’s doing delay on the *bass*

Yeah you'd think it would be really easy to make a mess there

You want minimum feedback (so each repeat only plays once). Set dry and wet to 50/50 (so you hear dry and delayed signal at equal volume). Turn off any effects on the wet signal (eg no filter).

If you count the beat 1-and-2-and-3-and-4-and, you want the delay to hit on the 3-and. If you have a tap tempo, tap first on the 1 and then again on the 3-and.
