The Spurs players seem to be trying to make this a personal thing more than the Thunder players. I know Caso said something about it in an interview this summer, but even that seemed to be more about because the Spurs were the ones who got them out.
But also, I get the impression other teams don’t have the best opinion of them. Josh Hart won’t let an opportunity pass to point out their arrogance.

4-1? They almost got swept. Remember when Russ, KD, and Harden went to the finals a single time at 22 and 23 years old? They lost 4-1.

This is a great example. Time will tell if they are who people think they might be.. but they haven’t done anything to warrant the ‘tude yet.
The ‘tude does not match the accomplishments, or lack there of— at this point in time.

I watched a few preseason games of the Spurs. My biggest take away was I didn't see any change or improvement. Wemby still can't work the paint, he looks to pass immediatley with back to the basket. The guards just try to run everyone over with bully ball. I know it was just preseason but 3's were not magnet balling for the spurs like last season. At one point they had players hovering int he 50%+ range on 3's. If the Thunder can limit the second chance points this series could be very one sided.

He said the teams don't like each other but it seemed more like the Spurs hated the thunder and the thunder didn't think one way or another about the Spurs.
They repeatedly, dog cussed Chet, instructed their end of bench guys to deliver hard fouls while being blown out, Wembanyama glared at our guys after every play her made, etc.
I can't think of anything similar from us to them outside of SGA telling Castle he wasn't shit (which knowing SGA that only came after Castle had probably said quite a bit to him)

It is coming for sure. Mark will experiment with lineups. It will drive us nuts, but for Mark this is game 1 no matter the opponent. His goal is a championship not game 1 of an 82 game season.

One thing you could never accuse this SGA-lead OKC team of being, is ARROGANT.
The Spurs are fucking ARROGANT.
I will enjoy watching them become the most despised team in the league. They’re doing everything they can to earn that moniker.

But this is good though, honestly I wanted to see more fire from our guys in this matchup at times. They looked shell shocked all too often.
Wembanyama looking elite is one thing, but in no way shape or form should Vassell be screaming at you all series long. Someones gotta accept the challenge and step up. Maybe get a fine.

I wanted Oweh to be that guy. Come off the bench with high energy and just wear down their players. He is big and physical. Yes the offense needs development, but defensively he could have thump on some people
