πŸ“° α‹œαŠ“/news The partisan U.S let it slip in their most recent report that the ENDF, of whom they support via their full backing of the neoliberal UAE backed Abiy regime, have credible reports against them on their use of child soldiers.

2026 Trafficking in Persons Report: Ethiopia

Credible sources reported the government’s Ethiopian national defense forces (ENDF) unlawfully recruited and used child soldiers, including in combat and support roles... During the reporting period, the ENDF and government-affiliated forces unlawfully recruited and used child soldiers. The state-mandated human rights commission conducted some investigations into these cases but did not report initiating any criminal investigations or prosecutions related to these cases.

Given that the Abiy regime tried to slander the TDF with false accusations of using child soldiers during the first phase of the genocidal war (2020-2022) and the TPLF in the current second phase where foreign media has also joined them in tandem with their respective govts dropping the impartial act (1) it's important that this slip up by the U.S is not missed even if in that same report they continue their pro-Abiy policy of trying to make all sides seem morally equal while firmly supporting Abiy's regime irl. You'll also notice some bs imperialistic accusations against Cuba as you skim through toward the bottom.

Also important to remember is that during the first phase of the genocidal war, the Abiy regime were caught red handed by foreign media in manufacturing fake propaganda for their false child soldier accusations against the TDF:

Don't say false propaganda when your own article says TDF used child soldiers as well. Both parties are wrong to do so.

Maybe read the rest of the post?:

Sure, just take bits and pieces of the article that fits your narrative.

It's a fact that Abiy was caught red handed manufacturing these lies against the TDF while committing the very things he was accusing them of and it's also a fact that Abiy has a history of endless and shameless lying in order to try and cover up the Tigray genocide whether it be denying the presence of Eritrean forces until it wasn't convenient (1), denying the use of weaponized starvation (1), denying massacres (1), denying/covering up the systematic use of CRSV (1), working through the Ethiopian diaspora to silence the voice of Tigray as well as prevent independent access that'd expose him (1, 2) and on and on. You can find more to go through here.

Didn't the new york times accidentally post a picture of TPLF child soldiers and faced major backlash? Maybe Abiy owns NYT too πŸ˜†

The TPLF officially responded (1) and no-one outside PP circles took it seriously because it was poorly crafted PP propaganda. They were merely transporting arms for a short distance (which is still problematic but they were not child soldiers whatsoever) unlike the ENDF who had many of their child soldiers exposed via being pows from places like Debub. It's the reason why Abiy had to resort to straight up manufacturing stories like in the article that exposed them which I linked at the bottom of my post.

All those accusations against the TDF were merely a projection from Abiy and again Abiy has been exposed for lying on multiple occasions and on some openly admitting it like the lies he had regarding Eritrea's presence and inadvertently the genocide in total.

The thing is, even if I were to play devil's advocate and say you were right (You're not) it doesn't change the fact that Abiy is responsible for the Tigray genocide and therefore is the clear problematic side as one side was resisting a genocide (Even with any real or alleged flaws) while the other was actively committing it. Today he is still clearly the wrong side in the renewed war.

No trolling behavior, especially about the genocide.
