That's the best fake out by a dog I've seen in awhile. Good doggie!

Not judging but why do so many people seemingly have 24/7 cctv INSIDE their homes?

Because security cameras are cheap.

It is literally CCTV for your house. Get the right brand, and the recording never even leaves your house unless you want it to.

Yeah, I guess I understand that. I have a camera on the front of my house, self hosted. I just don't know why I'd have a camera facing me while I'm watching TV? Different strokes for different blokes I guess!

Because dogs left home alone don't always behave.

Also a camera outside your house isn't going to help identify someone trying to/already did break in. A waist level camera pointing upwards is much better for when you want your stolen shit returned.

Finally, live with 3 teenagers and sometimes a camera watching the kitchen is a necessity.

Have a dog, have a child. My camera is hidden and faces the only entry to my home, but thanks for the advice.

I think this conversation is done but thanks for the reply :)

Our big mastiff/pit mix did this. He'd wait until one of us got up, then immediately claim the vacant spot. He didn't pretend to ask to go out, he just watched us until a spot cleared. Moving him back out always involved him somehow perfectly mimicking a human who feels unjustly put upon, with heavy sighs and eye rolling and dirty looks over his shoulder.

Best dog ever...

I've owned many dogs over the years, but mastiffs and their mixes are my absolute favorite. Gentle giants with nothing but love and laziness 🥰

My dog does this all the time. The thing is,I need to get up because she might really need to go out for the toilet

I'd lift the entire chair and hug him and I'd say loud enough for the others to hear you're the only one I'd allow to take my chair those other three sat here I'd flip them out I'd throw the whole chair and them in the pool you're a good boy.

Plot twist: The dog has trained you, you're the pet now.

Yeah my dog has done this to me a few times as well.

There is an almost undescribable despair, and agony, and just overall frustrated feeling, when both your kid and wife laugh at you
