Powers [Favorite Trope] Time Abyss: When the immortal character is truly, unfathomably ancient beyond our ability to comprehend, and has actually lived through that time. I'm not talking a few hundred years. 5k, absolute minimum. A million or more to really count.

This is Jones, from Gunnerkrieg Court. She's one of the purest examples of this.

  • doesn't eat, sleep, or breathe
  • can't be injured or broken
  • has apparently never physically changed
  • remembers every moment of her existence
  • once got buried in magma and later woke up at the bottom of the ocean
  • wandered around with prehistoric humans
  • was around to watch Rome burn

And it goes from there. Originally, the images were in reverse order (most recent day to early creation) to showcase her recollections, but I put them in the order I did so it'd be more understandable to those who haven't read the comic.

Does it explain why he's a bit over 30 times older than the universe itself (13.8 billion years)?

Yeah the universe moves in cycles in a game between two gods Andy is the only thing that survives between universes

The universe was made by two gods having a disagreement over how creation should be handled. After a specific point in time, they un-make it and make it again as part of their intended means to settle the dispute.

Andy is one of a group of people called negators. These people have the ability to cancel out one fundamental law of the universe. As the wielder of the negator power “undead”, andy just flat-out cannot die, and any injury that would be lethal to anyone else will instantly regenerate.

Even the gods destroying the universe can’t put him down, so he’s still kicking when the next one begins, and he has to wait for humanity to re-evolve for him to interact with people again.

they dont unmake it, they blow up the earth then just make a new one with the debris of the previous planet floating in space around it

They unmake it. They do blew up Earth but everything eles is just gone , like stars, space and others, besides the sun and moon. It's literally just void there

Have you seen that scene in Futurama, where they take the time machine and keep moving forward with each new universe being the same as the one they're originally from? He just does that by himself

Its uh, created in a game of bet between the gods. Every "facts" about the world is created one by one. Like there is no air until a god of air is added. There is no stars until stars is added. The sun, moon and the empty space between them and earth is the only thing that stay the same. Well, technically earth isn't a thing until it is added, but you kinda know the deal.

Since he is immortal, he just start out at the starting point since he would have been on earth when it got destroyed. The universe restart every time earth is destroyed by an embodiment of the sun.

Got it, its a "earth is the center of the universe" thing.

The sun and moon, specifically, the earth is destroyed and remade each cycle, the galaxy, death, gender, etc. etc. are all just rules made by the two gods and the very concepts stop existing when their personifications are slain. The anime/manga is really interesting in its worldbuilding and a definite recommendation.

More like the moon actually but that a deep spoiler.

He continues floating where earth used to be and it always appears in roughly the same place. He is caught by earth's gravity and pulled down eventually. Btw pieces of the previous earths also float in that area and sometimes fall down.

The universe in that book is a little fucked up, they don't get the stars in the sky until later
