miscellaneous [Dark Trope] Implied child death

• Family Guy - In a deleted scene, Evil Stewie is shown entering the bully's house and giving him a noogie. It seems rather harmless until Stewie mentions "Why's his knuckle turning red?" Then screams of the bully are heard, implying that Evil Stewie noogied his head so hard it punched a hole through the bully's head.

• Old (2021) - In a deleted cold opening, a man is shown crawling and shouting for help in the aging island. What makes this more terrifying is that this person could originally have been a baby or child, it's implied since he's walking on all fours

“Under the Skin” the baby on the beach scene. Shit made my blood run ice cold the first time I saw it.

One of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen in a movie. Ugh

This scene was one of the hardest scenes for me to watch in a movie ever, and that was before I had kids.

Children and babies dying is always sad. Having their deaths be long, painful, and terrifying is even more sad.

How does the kid die?

His mother and father die being swept out to sea. The only other person there was a swimmer who, after making it back exhausted failing to save them, is hunted by an alien who was watching the whole thing unfold with cold indifference. She starts dragging away his body, completely ignoring the baby who will likely die of exposure

An alien is observing a family on a remote beach and silently watched as the family dog gets dragged out into the water by waves. The wife tries to rescue the dog, which prompts the husband to try and rescue the wife. Then he starts to drown and the husband is rescued by a swimmer. The husband desperately runs back out to rescue his wife again but is implied to drown. The swimmer, exhausted, is hunted by the alien.

The baby is completely ignored during this entire scene and it's kinda implied the alien just leaves it to die of exposure

I looked it up and without spoiling anything, something happens to the baby's parents, effectively leaving it alone to starve or die of exposure.

Super fucked up. Do not recommend watching that scene if you have trouble with this kind of thing.

Then again, if you do have trouble with this kind of thing you probably shouldn't be in this thread.
