She does have a reason though. Her body is a stolen body of a spy android impersonating a human. And that spy was using the fact of her attractiveness to distract her marks.

I was mostly making a comment on not really fitting the trope. The prompt was "no reason" amd EDI does have a reasoning to be attractive at least.

The amount of "fans" that conveniently miss that little fact when its time to dump on EDI for her design is disappointing.

Yeah if you're going to dump on Edi it should be regarding the fact that despite being a super strong gynoid she can only use pistols or submachine guns.

So the people who designed her created a justification for her to be hot. I don’t see why criticizing that makes you a “fan”.

Man I like her too, but I rolled my eyes when Hideo Kojima said “she has to breathe through her skin” so I won’t pretend this is different.

Not really defending horny robot design. But hers actually does make sense in the story.

Machine pretending to be human, gets burned into revealing endoskeleton like terminator. Different machine takes over the killer gynoid. And then we end up with EDI using the body as a portable vessel. Mostly cause she wants to feel like part of the crew.

Makes a lot more sense to justify that over "This is a reason to have her nude at all times" Kojima. Great story, questionable horniness at all times
