A full Saturday (with links). If you're looking further out, check out the weekly events list. Here are today's picks:

Fall Festival at Queen's Park
Ontario Legislative Building | 11a-5p

A free afternoon at Queen's Park with lots going on to celebrate the season. There's a petting zoo, inflatables, lawn games, pumpkin-carving, face painting, crafts, live music, and a fall market. If government is your particular kind of scary, the Legislature is open for self-guided tours.

Tree Planting
Parc Downsview Park | 1p-3p

88 trees going into the ground at Downsview Park, with help from whoever shows up. It's the kind of afternoon that's physical, purposeful, and good for the park's wildlife and shade coverage for years to come.

1v1 All-Styles Battle
Union Station, West Wing | 12p-6p

32 competitors go head-to-head in a 1v1 street dance format. A bunch of dance performances throughout the day.

AppleFest
Bayview Leaside Bia | until 3p

Apple-themed treats from local businesses, face painting, pumpkin decorating, live performances, and the kind of Saturday afternoon that's easy to lose a few hours to.

COC Free Concert: Myriade Quartet
Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre | 12p-1p

The programme mixes familiar classical works with newer pieces, and the format is designed with neurodiversity and disability in mind.

Lodestar Poetry Evening with Laboni Islam and Lisa Hirmer
biidaasige Park (meet At #11 Lodestar On The Promenade) | 4p-7p

A poetry walk along the Lassonde Art Trail on the theme of home, starting late afternoon and running to sunset. Lisa Hirmer reads from her trail artwork Lodestar, and Laboni Islam offers writing prompts at several stops along the way. It ends around a fire where anyone who wrote something can share it if they want to.

Pumpkin Giveaway
Susan Tibaldi Parkette | 11a-3p

The Bloordale pumpkin giveaway is back at Susan Tibaldi Parkette, with tarot readings, face painting, a mini market, and live music. Bring your leashed dog and wear a costume so you can get more than one night out of it.

City Star Party: xplore the Moon
Long Branch Park, Etobicoke | 7p

RASC Toronto sets up telescopes at Long Branch Park along the Etobicoke lakeshore for an evening of moon observing. Volunteers walk you through what you're seeing along the terminator, and you can pick up star finders and moon guides to take home. A cloudy night postpones it til tomorrow.

Movie: Morgen irgendwo am Meer
Goethe-Institut Toronto | 4p-6:30p

Meetup - Make New Friends Anyone interested in a fall photography walk at High Park next Saturday?

Hey everyone! I'm organizing a fall photography walk at High Park next Saturday (Oct 24, 3-5:30 PM).

The idea is to get outside, enjoy the fall colours and meet some new people while we're at it. We've also put together a photo scavenger hunt with some High Park-specific riddles, little fall treat bags and a few prizes.

It's nothing too serious photography-wise and you can literally just bring your phone lol. And if you're coming alone, that's completely fine! It's meant to be a social thing as much as a photography walk.

It's $15 per person, which includes the activities, treats and prizes.

Here's the link if anyone's interested: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/a-fall-photography-social-walk-tickets-2001734176808

Feel free to ask me anything about it!
