Incoming freshmen, beware the racial slur scammer guy.
I saw him up by Ebisu on the way to work he'll probably work his way down to campus soon if he hasnt already.
Ive been on campus for 5+ years now and this guy has been here since before that. His story is exactly the same as it was 5 years ago too. He didnt even try to change it up at all.
For anyone who doesnt know he basically comes up to you and complains about students calling him racial slurs. Then asks you for gas money. Im assuming the slurs are meant to throw you off guard so youre more likely to give him money. But if you know you shouldn't fall for it.

OMGG he got my friend… I told my friend he was lying yet he still gave him money and at the ATM he was tryna get him to give more, I knew he was lying bro it sounded so fishy. He told us the same story it was fishy to me from the beginning bc he was talking about how his truck ran out of gas or something but there was no truck in sight

I remember this guy from 11 Years ago, I gave him 5 bucks because I wasn't about to tell someone screw off when I was out with my pregnant wife. I was later out for lunch with my friend and saw him again and he starts his pitch and I start talking to him like I just saw him the other day and knew the story. He went right away after that lol

He's been at it since I was @ TU in 2016. I remember he came up to me once @ the mall then again at my job @ the Cinemark just a few months apart.

Lmfao, I remember this guy when I was a freshman. At first I was like "omg really?" and then when he told me about him being out of gas I said sorry man cant help you, then he just gave me this dirty look and he walked off.

OMG, I was on a date with this guy at White Marsh a couple years ago and he told me these frat bros at Towson were after him hurling slurs. He then asked both of us if we had any money to give him for the bus. We both said no then he kept following us from the food court to H&M. He went away but we ended up telling security about what happened lol.

Omg yes im black so he got me by saying he needed 20 for gas lol and gave me an empty nike gift card! And then proceeded to tell my white husband that i was a catch and he had a good woman and gave him the black power fist smdh 😂
I met an actual relative of his later when i told the story and she told me hes been doing that dumb shit since he was in high school cause it works 🥴
she also said he had a job and a family, hes just nutty

me and my fiance call him “mercedes guy” since his story is being robbed of “his” mercedes benz and being called racial slurs by tu students. he has the keys to a mercedes benz to try and make his story realistic. offered to call the cops? nope! just wants money. my fiance almost fought him on multiple occasions because of how pushy and rude he is. goes back 11-15 years of him doing this. gets more active when college kids are back. sometimes hell change his story, hes a musician, a blue collar worker, a fucking astronaut one time. to everyone that wants to help- donate to shelters, homeless outreach nearby. please dont give money to anyone on the streets in towson; most people nowadays are scammers.

btw YES he has family & YES he travels from white marsh- towson. he is genuinely fucking crazy and on drugs so please be aware. screaming “scammer” at him/ calling him out seems to work so far!

Been seeing him around for like 10 years, his name is Clinton if I’m not mistaken. Used to scam up in White Marsh with the same story until he got trespassed a bunch. Back then he would walk around in pink scrubs pretending he worked at University of Maryland hospital

He’s been doing that for years, I remember he tried to get me at Texas Roadhouse all the way in WHITE MARSH 4 YEARS AGO. Beware! Not every sob story is a true story!

Bro harassed me when I was walking home from Safeway. I thought he was telling me to come to his truck and I was 90% sure he was about to kidnap me. Absolutely insane this guy has been doing this for so long and to so many people.

Thanks to this Reddit thread and a friend who got scammed by him when he came up to my outside of chipotle and began with the, “thank you for not being racist” I IMMEDIATELY laughed and said I know who you are and he rolled his eyes and stormed off. Satisfying!

he got my boyfriend and i, we didn’t have cash and offered to go to the atm. he went from asking for $3.95 for gas to “make it $60”. he’s very emotional too from the way he switches from sadness to anger back to sadness and pleading. using the same teary expression each time.. he got rlly agitated too when my bf didn’t have $60 to give and offered $20. he made a joke about killing my bf too which was rlly odd. overall i would recommend avoiding him if possible.
