Question Is it just me or are these Soundbarriers quite...difficult to work with?
Especially when switches are involved...Does anyone have Tips to get rid of these (mainly) visual artifacts?
I just don't get why they sometimes behave the way they do XD Like why are there sometimes these random pillars or short sections of wall? Also their position seem to be sometimes completely random in section of rail that is completely sound-proofed, and sometimes I think it has something to do with the length of the idividual rail segments lining up or not....

Mods Realistic take on TF3 Map! Red Tidal Beach
This is my brand new map called Red Tidal Beach available on mod.io now!
It is a realistic fictional map based on 1920 SE-Asian inspired map. It comes with unique urban/rural landscape, and hand-painted agricultural field everywhere (rubber/coconut plantation, cropland, etc).
If you're looking for a more realistic regional planning take on this game, I recommend at least checking it out! I spent a lot of time making industrial clusters and basic history throughout the region to make everything cohesive and interconnected

The campaign actually ends great
I get that the campaign is getting a lot of (deserved) criticism, but the last three levels (Philippines, Adelaide, and Japan) are all actually excellent. The objectives were fairly challenging and, unlike the previous levels, they allowed me to experiment and try my own solutions to the unique problems.
I'd actually pay for more mission DLC if the devs were interested in making them. My all-time favorite mod from TF2 was the Inventors & Adventurers Campaign. I just think the game kind of shines when there are objectives and little unique twists to work around.

Suggestion Cable cars would've been such an awesome feature
For people playing on mountainous maps, cable cars would be so cool. If it's an industry, a city or a train station of a mountain railway sitting on the mountainside, cable cars were a very important mode of transport until the 70s in the Alps and in some places it still is, e.g. in South America. I would have preferred cable cars way over helicopters.
Picture 1: This cable car connected the village of Oberverlach in the Austrian Alps with the higher situated "Tauernbahn", a mountain railway which connects Salzburg and Carinthia.
Picture 2: Cable cars in Medellin, Colombia. Situated in the South American Andes, many cities there have high elevation differences between districts.
Picture 3: The Rittner Seilbahn connects Bozen and Oberbozen in Southern Tyrol.
Picture 4: Material ropeway transports limestone from the quarry directly towards the processing industry. There are still a lot of material ropeways left in the Alps, however it's not that easy to get information about them.

Why can't we preconfigure stations?
Let me preconfigure a station-, port-, or road stop layout and save it for future use. In TF2 this wasn't a huge deal, but now with multiple cargo platform-types (and being a sequel), why can't i preconfigure and save a layout for future use?
A QOL feature sorely missed by me </3

Question Where would the best place to build amphitheaters?
Trying to figure out the spread of my current capital and where it might go, and I am looking at the very ugly pimple that is a newer iron ore mine beyond the residental district. Should I place the amphitheaters between the residental district and the mine or do they have a wider circumference of operations?

Solved Has anyone managed to assign a specific warehouse to a specific cargo?
I have 4 warehouses at my port, some have the same type, because I have 3 different cargo types coming in. The problem is that when a warehouse runs out of one cargo (sand, for example) and a ship with a different cargo arrives, it ends up unloading that cargo into the empty warehouse. This means my next ship carrying sand can’t use any warehouse, because they’re all holding other cargo.
Has anyone managed to solve this?
If there’s no way to do it, I’m thinking of creating a mod to “lock” a cargo type to a warehouse.

Mods I added highway-to-street connections to Roadform for TF3
I kept running into the same little job after placing an interchange: bringing its two highway carriageways back into a normal street. So I’ve added an optional Y connection to ten Roadform interchanges in TF3. Choose the highway ends you want to connect, then attach your ordinary two-way road.
There’s also a separate Highway end in S, M and L, for one, two or three lanes each way. You can place that on its own when you don’t need a whole interchange.
That’s Roadform 1.1 for TF3. I’ve also updated the TF2 mod to 1.2.
If there’s an awkward connection on your map, show me a picture in the comments.

Is it possible use the line both ways?
Hi,
Enjoying TF3 a lot! it helped me to drop Palworld!
I'm wondering if it is possible to make vehicules on the otherside of a line (like anyregular real life line that goes both ways) right now all my vehicules are doing 1-2-3-4 i would like them to do 4-3-2-1 on the same line!
If you know how to do that i would greatly appreciate!
Thanks
Have fun

I hate when people get unhappy
RANT START
I play on the northern Gate map from the 1900. I really like the wide distances, mountainous areas and deep waterways. Gives it own challenge and forces you to use a lot of waterways and ships (which came in my opinion to short in TF2).
I just reached the year 1920 and and unlocked the iconic Junker and airports.
I thought Yay, I can finally connect my two biggest cities, the one on the coast and the one in the middle of the map.
I started with one plane (the Junker can transport whopping 4 passengers) and the demand for this connection was steady growing. I bought two more JUs.
Next time I looked there were over 60 (!) passengers waiting.... and they getting angrier and angrier that they have to wait a long time for the airplanes to arrive.
Who goes to a Airport without a valid ticket.....
I bought 10 more JUs but now they clocking the airstrip and now they getting even more angry and soon both cities knew that I am a "bad" transport company.
At some point I had enough, showed them the middle finger and the bulldozers were rolling over the airports.
When they don't like my service then they don't get it!!!
RANT OVER

Best way to deal with traffic
Is to not have any.
Best way to reduce traffic is proper bus/tram network in your city feeding your peeps to your train station.
This is how I do it. I’m not saying it’s the only way or even the best way. I’m just saying it works. My traffic is practically nonexistent.
Setup a high volume tram route that circles the downtown area wide enough to put down 4-5 double stops without much overlap and back to your station. One line going clockwise the other counter. For the early game I recommend 3 Gotha trams stitched together with the middle one unpowered. That’ll give you 42 capacity.
From the outskirts of your city you’ll set up single stop bus routes to a side street next to the closest tram stop. These will just go back and forth so your peeps spend minimum time traveling. Add more single stop lines as your city spreads. These usually only need 1-2 buses.
Now no matter what your peeps have the shortest route possible to the train station with only a single transfer. They’ll leave the car home and your streets will be empty.
Do this and 100 percent passenger happiness and no significant traffic will be yours.

Discussion Distribution of Industries
I think its nice to have some dedicated location for specific industries but holy cow, bits of the industry generation algorithm are out of control. 13 iron ore locations neaby, not shown here but there are a couple more to the east and west. Mind you, I am only servicing 2 of those currently, all the others popped up in the last couple of years which is, frankly, quite annoying.
I know, I can use sandbox and remove them.
