I feel like Swiggy Instamart is making false promises with its estimated delivery times, and I’m curious to know if others have noticed the same thing.

For example, when you place an order on Instamart, it might show an estimated delivery time of 18 minutes. Try setting a timer on your phone for exactly 18 minutes and see whether your order actually arrives within that time. In my experience, the delivery often goes beyond the estimated time.

And this isn’t limited to Instamart. I’ve noticed the same thing with regular Swiggy food deliveries as well.

So, if you use Swiggy for either groceries or food, try this experiment yourself. Set a timer as soon as you place your order, using the exact delivery time displayed in the app, and see if your order arrives on time.

At this point, I’m genuinely curious: Is my phone’s timer somehow wrong, or is Swiggy showing overly optimistic delivery estimates just to get people to place orders? 😂

Our group paid good money for this "Dandiya night" yesterday @ Kovalam Arts and Crafts Village. But not even one dandiya type song was played. There was this one DJ who kept on playing all Bollywood and Tamil songs and he completely ruined the vibe. Plus they had advertised that it would be a guided dance session with professional garba dancers. We did see a group of professional dancers with elaborate costumes and props. They danced for 5-10 mins or so but they left the venue once the DJ started playing club music, they were nowhere to be seen for the rest of the night.

Stay wary of such paid events organised in the city. We thought that since it is at such a superb venue, with premium pricing, and with the Kerala Tourism stamp on the promotional posts, it would be a proper event. This new "community" called "Oru New Culture" are the main organizers. Avoid them at all costs!
