Can anyone identify this bizarre mouthpiece?

I've found a listing on marketplace with this ridiculously-shaped mouthpiece. None of the pictures have a visible brand and the listing only clarifies it is a double-cup. Can someone tell me first what the hell kind of mouthpiece this and why it's shaped like that, and second where on god's green earth it comes from?

$120 listing btw

I’ve seen some stuff like that from companies making things specifically for Banda players.

For those of us unfamiliar with the banda genre, what is this monster good for?

Probably good for endurance while playing, very crisp articulation, and LOUD. But not so much the big fat sound an orchestra conductor wants. Just bright and brassy all day long.

Edit to add, go look up pablodrums on YouTube or TikTok.

That would make sense because the listing is in Spanish.

The double cup was traditionally a design from Parduba, but this example looks newer than any i have ever seen.

Interesting. The lack of a prominent inscription makes me think this is generic but it looks pretty legit so it might be a reproduction model.

I’d buy it just to add to the collection

Honestly it's tempting for 120

120 is a little steep to me but I’m eternally broke so anything above 30 dollars is steep to me lol

Definitely a Banda piece. There’s some interesting mostly ornamental shapes I see while out and about. I’d buy it just to try.

Yup, typical banda C valve trombone mouthpiece.

I have seen slightly similar tuba mouthpieces but that’s a trombone mouthpiece so I’m not quite sure tho if you are willing to pay that price I’d recommend getting it and messing around with it who knows maybe it will be your new signature mouthpiece and at worst you have a unique cool mouthpiece to show off to your friends

Looks nuts.... Double Cup, extra fat super round rim, honestly does not look comfortable or easy to play lol

Can anyone provide a company that produces a similar model in order to get dimensions?

Trombone pieces in there with like a 20.00mm inner rim diameter? Freakin’ tiny. I’m guessing designed for endurance and LOUD.

Se parece a una boquilla de marca Garibaldi
