You might like our wiki page for folks new to TTC!

Remember that this subreddit is for people who are trying to conceive, while people who are pregnant move on to a pregnancy group. If you have questions about pregnancy, a pregnancy sub would be the best place to ask them.

I suggest picking up a box of cheap OPKs and tracking ovulation that way. To confirm ovulation, basal body temperature tracking is recommended (can be done with a wearable like an Apple Watch or with a dedicated BBT thermometer). There are some guides in the sub wiki. Good luck!

May I ask what exactly a OPK is? I have an Apple Watch, so that will definitely help! I’m also using a couple different apps to track everything. I do thank you for the advice!

An OPK is an ovulation prediction kit, basically ovulation test strips. While apps can be helpful in tracking your period, they can’t actually predict when you ovulate which is where the strips come in.

Thank you for the clarification! I’m definitely going to look into those

Your post/comment has been removed for violating sub rules. Per our posted rules:

Don't suggest unhelpful cliches to others that belong on a TTC bingo card: "just relax", "never give up, mama!", "why not adopt?", "my cousin's dogsitter's sister was about to do IVF but then got magically pregnant," "your time will come," "enjoy sleeping in while you can," etc. These are "bingos" because people who are TTC hear them all the time, and they are hurtful and annoying. Consider whether what you are saying is likely to be helpful for the person you are talking to.

If you still wish to participate in our sub, please review our rules before continuing to post. Violation of our rules may result in a timeout or ban.

Please direct any questions to the subreddit’s modmail and not individual mods. Thank you for understanding.
