Tudor BB41 Monochrome vs. Pelagos 39 ā I own both, but one has to go!
Alright guys, I need some help because Iāve been going back and forth on this decision way too much!
I recently purchased both the Black Bay 41 Monochrome and Pelagos 39, but Iām only keeping one.
Black Bay 41 Monochrome:
Love the stainless steel, refined appearance, METAS certification, and incredibly smooth bezel action. I also have BOTH genuine Tudor bracelets (three-link and five-link), which gives me the option of a sportier look or something dressier for work. The polished hands and indices give it a more premium appearance.
My biggest complaints are the domed sapphire reflections, lack of crown guards, and slightly larger/heavier proportions. Still very comfortable and legible, though!
Pelagos 39:
The proportions are absolutely perfect for my roughly 6.5-inch wrist. Love the flat sapphire (it practically disappears), ceramic bezel, crown guards, modern tool-watch styling, and how lightweight and comfortable it is. It really feels like the ideal daily driver.
My biggest issue is the titanium. I prefer stainless steel, and titaniumās tendency to show scratches and scuffs bothers me. I know watches will get scratched, but that doesnāt mean Iām welcoming them! š Iām also not crazy about the diverās extension on the clasp, although I have a half-link coming to hopefully improve the fit.
Hereās my dilemma: The Pelagos feels like the better everyday tool watch, but the Black Bay seems like the more versatile long-term choice, especially with both bracelet options.
Iām also considering resale value. Which one do you think holds its value better, particularly with the Black Bay having both OEM bracelets?
Ultimately, whichever watch I donāt keep WILL be going up for sale, so if anyone is interested, feel free to reach out!
If you could only keep ONE, which would it be and why? Iād especially love to hear from anyone whoās owned both!

Black Bay 58 on 6.3inch wrist
I have a 6.3 inch(16cm) wrist and today I tried on both the BB 58 GMT and non-GMT. The gmt version felt really heavy and chunkier and the non gmt felt just right, maybe a bit too long. I am unsure if itās the correct size or not. I didnāt have the bracelet fixed for my wrists and with that I donāt know how it will feel.
Do you guys think it sits well on my wrist? Overall, I loved it. I am just afraid of not spending the money and ending with a watch i will not enjoy. I also tried the BB55 blue lagoon and it felt too small, and somehow hard to read the time.
Sorry for the blurry pictures.

New watch in my collection :)
I am super happy that I got my very first Tudor to celebrate an incredible year! I was aiming to get the BB54 in black, but when trying different Tudors at the boutique I was so surprised by how well the BB58 wears and how the burgundy one can be so dynamic. The dial bursts in red under direct boutique light and becomes kinda brown, black when not in the spotlight. Such an intriguing watch, hope I will have many adventures with it!
I would like to thank this sub-reddit and all its members for providing so much info on the wearing experience of these incredible timepieces!
My collection now:
- Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm
- Alpina Alpiner 4 40mm
- Certina DS-2 Sea turtle conservancy edition
- CasioOak olive green
- Grand Seiko SBGE281
- Tudor Black Bay 58 Burgundy

2026 Tudor Royal 40mm in Blue
This watch really surprised me. I struggled to find many YouTube videos or posts with this configuration prior to purchasing. The dial can be muted, sunbursting or rich blue depending on your lighting conditions. I find cloudy days where this rich blue comes out.
T Fit clasp gives it a perfect fit. The bezel is unique, but in a way I enjoy more than the fluted datejust, or most watches smooth/ dive style. The integrated bracelet wears great and the head has very clean, crisp transitions. The refresh version of this watch also drastically improved the dial by raising the placement of the day cut out, along with adding some text to the bottom to balance out. You are also getting an in house day-date caliber that has 70 hours of power reserve, and is chronometer certified.
I feel like this watch is slept on. The longer I own it, the more I wear it, the more I enjoy it.

Which one to get š§
Hello everyone,
Hope you are doing well.
I am torn between purchasing a Tudor Black Bay 58 Burgundy on the 5 link ā¦. Or the No Date Omega Seamasterā¦ā¦
I have a 6.6 inch wrist (pretty flat)
Current Collection:
Omega White Speedmaster
Rolex Explorer 40
Rolex Datejust 36 (Blue dial)
Longines HC 39 (Blue Dial)
I feel the burgundy Tudor would really make the collection pop, but I feel the Omega is just timeless but riding the maybe to large for me line.
Love both, but seeking opinions š
Thanks in advance!

BB Monochrome - Thoughts/Advice?
Hey guys. Looking to purchase my first luxury watch, and the Black Bay Monochrome is currently at the top of my shortlist. I tried it on in store, and I think Iām okay with the size. I have a 6.5ā inch wrist. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I took. What do you guys think? Does anyone else out there have the monochrome on a similar wrist size, or just generally have any longterm experience with this watch? Thanks!

Budgeting
Donāt know if this fits the theme of the page and asking enthusiasts budget questions might not give the most Dave Ramseyāish answer. Getting into watches I have some cheaper watches I.E. citizens. How do you guys determine budget for watch I guess I just donāt want to be shopping too big for my britches. Iām 26 make 90k a year in a LCOL area. How much did you guys make or save to decided to buy your first luxury branded watch?
