Parking pass transferable? Commuter vs resident?

Parking pass? Is a commuter pass transferable? Could you use it if you live on campus?
Have someone offering to sell theirs. Trying to make sure it actually works.

If it’s the people that message in like group mes saying their selling it don’t trust it usually their accounts have been hacked and they’ll spam it
