Question/Help The police searched my phone without warrant for looking "gay"

And they almost arrested me.

First of all, I'm not gay. I'm straight. I don't sound feminine at all,, so just like a normal tunisian man. But I just take care of myself and my body and looks in the way i like.

I may look light skinned with smooth Bieber/BTS haircut and no body hair, so kind of like a "twink," 19 year old boy. I was just wearing pink T-shirt and a denim short.. So I'm 100% it was because of this combo. But from now on, I might change all that until I get out of this country. 😡😡😡

This happened yesterday. I'm still confused.. why..? Why is our country like this? Why is it slowly turning to Afghanistan? Do I have to dress like most people here and draw a fake beard on my face?

Question/Help having problems with wife,

hello everyone this is a throwaway acc.

have been married for almost a year (10 months) and it's been fantastic but I think I have made a mistake here somewhere. (29M 26f)

in retrospect, when we started dating we almost discussed everything from our roles together, individual responsibilities, kids, finances, kinks to everything. we agreed that I'd be the breadwinner and she'd take care of the house, chores and kids subsequently.

now, on a random tuesday I'm coming home tiiiirred afff and walk into makeup everywhere, dog barking out of hunger, clothes on the floor and no dinner whatsoever. have been seeing this behavior for the last ~2 months.

have sat her down and chatted and she said "jib m3ak ftour mel bara ena nakel eli yji"...

thing is, we've made an agreement from the very beginning and talked all of this out so we'd adhere to our responsibilities as a couple. now I'm thinking of divorce and can't imagine how to bring it up.

been meaning to discuss this with her parents first but thought I'd slow things down a notch.

Question/Help Roommate keeps commenting on how I dress. What should I do?

Post image
58 Upvotes

My roommate is hijabi and I’m not. I respect her choices and I’ve never interfered with her lifestyle, but she keeps commenting on the way I dress and trying to make me change it.

I’m not interested in controlling how she lives, and I expect the same respect from her. The problem is that I can’t move out because I’m stuck in a housing contract.

How would you deal with this without making the living situation unbearable?

Question/Help Question About Mahr ?

I’ve been happily engaged to a Tunisian woman, and recently we started seriously talking about the wedding and Mahr. She asked for a used car worth around $46,000–$65,000 as her Mahr.
Honestly, I’m struggling with this. I understand that Mahr is important, and I want to provide for my future wife, but spending that much on a used car feels excessive to me. I’m from abroad, and I know that for many Tunisian men, that amount of money is a massive fortune.
Lately, I’ve started feeling like I’m carrying a huge boulder on my back financially. I love her and want to build a life together, but at the same time, I feel like I’m losing myself trying to meet expectations that I may not realistically be able to handle.
I’m not trying to disrespect Tunisian culture or Mahr. I’m genuinely trying to understand whether this is a normal expectation or if I’m putting myself under way too much financial pressure. What would you do in my situation?

My family is kinda toxic before but now extremely toxic , since I turned 22 and started making money (inconsistent job and I used to make 500 dt at first now I make around 1000dt to 1500 ft but still inconsistent) and lately I found out that I have pcos wallet nekel healthy food only , and that's not cheap at all + I got to therapist (I'm bipolar I've been paying my own therapist bills and meds meli kont 18 ) and I have WiFi bills W pc mte3i period li fetet tehlk mn 9assan dhaw so I had to fix it since I work online mainly anyways , my family start getting mad when I buy things for myself and don't buy for them (keep in mind whenever my mom needs money I give her and when ask her to give it back since I need it she goes crazy mad and we got in huge arguments ) anyway I was planning to move out this month with my bestie but my bestie couldn't do it and I had to move out by myself and honestly didn't find any rental appartment lower than 750 where I wanted to move out but i was like if i try hard and work all my time I can make it (with my other bills doctor, meds , food, electricity and water , Gaz, WiFi,gym) it will be over what i make but I can possibly do it since I had 2000dt savings for rent and first month, ki jit cbn nhadher f rou7i bch nokhrj mama makhletnich she was pressuring me to stay home and saying that because of my mental health I can make it and it's not worth it if I move out by myself and stay away from family and maybe if I move out it's better to take one of my sisters with me (keep in mind my sisters are really toxic they always scream ,got in fights for no reason, if i say no you can't do this they don't listen and they are underage) I asked if she will help me with my sister part since I will have to rent a bigger apartment than she got mad anyways I had to stay since she kept nagging about it , everything was fine when I changed my mind about moving out until last week I borrowed her 300dt and kept few hundreds on me for food since I had no food and I went shopping yesterday got my self needed thing's (mind you khdhyyt choufen , chia seeds, yoghourt tabi3i , 1kilo djej afkhadh, 2 coffee powder packages , 1 kilo tofou7, 1kilo khoukh ) since eli 3ndna f dar lkol is unhealthy w ki nji nakhou trf djej wla haja much charieteha eni stir mochkla so I told my mom I bought those for myself and if you want to use anything sure but don't let my sisters touch anything (khatr they never got me anything and whenever I try to eat with them they scream this is not for you this isn't yours go buy food for yourself and w9adeh mn marra 9bl manbda nekhdem ydhelouni y9ouli "hedha mn naf9etna ylzmk tkoun thankful kayni eni W mama tji m3ahom dima) so nrj3 lel main point lyoum fe9t nl9a koujina kolha stickers maktoub fyhom بفلوس بسمة ktbethom okhty sghira W 3l9tehom comme quoi I have to pay for anything and I wanna use , Okie n3rf li eni l'ont harsh ki 9oltelha khwety maymsoulish meklti but they did that to me many times , twa I really can't handle this toxicity anymore like i really wanna move out but I used most of my moving out money but also i don't wanna stay in this home cause I'm scared I end up killing myself ( already tried many times bcs of this toxic environment)

Question/Help Lesbian and gay /yes or no

Let's not talk in our religion

I'm an open minded person who wants to know why

There are Lesbian and gay in our world , in our Society .

I honestly can't understand this shitt.

M talking politely but i believe in logic soo

Since we were at school we learned in that family tree 🌲 there is a father nd a mother right?

Like male nd female so that family tree can be completed ....

We r children of آدم و حواء

و قابيل و هابيل right so my question is

Who comes with this things Lesbian nd gays ..

It doesn't make sense to me ...

I respect every opinion.. m a peaceful man after all...

Question/Help 23F confused after talking to a 32YO doctor who wants a "super gorgeous" traditional wife, ultra-cheap wedding, and hates going out. Should I even meet him?

24F confused after talking to a 30YO doctor who wants a "super gorgeous" traditional wife, ultra-cheap wedding, and hates going out. Should I even meet him?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been talking to a 30-year-old doctor for a short while over text and phone calls, but we haven't met in person yet. He asked to meet up today last-minute, but after everything he’s laid out during our calls, I am deeply hesitant and honestly pretty turned off.

Here is the breakdown of his expectations and how he views relationships:

The Ideal Wife: He explicitly said he wants a super gorgeous, traditional hijabi wife who can cook and clean (though he says he doesn't mind if she also works). The catch? I am NOT hijabi. Yet somehow he keeps talking to me like he can reshape me into his ideal.

Religion vs. Expectations: He admitted that he doesn't pray, yet he holds these strict traditional standards for his future wife.

The "Confrontation": When I called him out on his completely contradictory ideas (wanting a stunning, traditional hijabi who cooks, cleans, and works, while he doesn't pray and wants a low-effort life), he literally agreed and said, "That's right, but I know someone who married a girl just like that." So he fully knows it's a contradiction, but expects it anyway!

Timeline & Money: He wants to get married as soon as humanly possible, but on the lowest budget possible.

Lifestyle: He hates going out, prefers staying home all the time, and thinks traveling is completely "overrated." (I personally love the idea of traveling and enjoying life before settling down with kids!).

Marriage Age: When I mentioned that I envision getting married around 30 and taking my time before having children, he called that "weird."

Past Dating History: He mentioned he has met a lot of girls before and claims he knows his "type," but then joked/said he's looking for a "dead girl" (meaning someone with no voice, no boundaries, or who just blindly agrees with him).

Despite all these massive logical and lifestyle gaps, he proposed meeting up today without planning it in advance.

I’m torn between completely blocking/ghosting him because of how rigid, contradictory, and exhausting he sounds on the phone, versus going just to see how absurd this is in real life.

Is there ANY point in going on a date with someone when the dealbreakers are already this loud before even meeting? Or should I just save my energy and pass?

TL;DR: 30YO non-practicing doctor wants an immediate, ultra-budget marriage to a "super gorgeous" traditional cooking/cleaning hijabi wife (I don't wear hijab), hates traveling/going out, and judges my timeline. When confronted on his hypocrisy, he admitted it but claimed he knows someone who pulled it off. Wants a last-minute date today. Do I go or run?

Question/Help Do men like this still exist, or is it a myth?

Is it still realistic to find men who wait until marriage and aren’t hooked on porn, or have we all agreed that’s basically a unicorn at this point?

Genuinely curious, because sometimes it feels like the standards I’m looking for are becoming more and more… vintage.

Question/Help As a “non straight” person should I build my life here or leave

Im sorry I know the word gay still shock many people in the big 26 but anyways I 23 soon will graduate as an engineer, keep asking myself that question. Because I know I won’t get married, have kids or spend my savings on a wedding, a wife or raising a family. And that on paper means fewer expenses, so if i earn around the average salary of an IT engineer lets say 3kTND/month would that translate into comfortable life, I’m scared that the loneliness and the feeling of not belonging will be the tax that i will pay for staying, I’m genuinely curious to hear from people who are in the same situation or those who are childfree, non parents and unmarried by choice
