UAE SIM GUIDE FOR a 23 yr old

Hey guys so inshallah in a few months I would be shifting to uae for job purposes and I wanted to find out which company is good for a new resident person which plans are good for someone who doesn’t have much budget to pay so for a beginner coming to dubai what plan would work I have seen plans such as 2gb of data for 4 weeks And I was shocked at the prices and in no way 2gb is enough for 4 weeks ofc I know the prices are high which is a normal thing but still I really wanna make the best out of for the money I pay so that I do not feel any regret later on….unlimited local data does sound good ngl

Virgin Mobile is cheaper and more flexible. Can begin with passport then add Emirates ID when you get it. Can do monthly or pay annually in advance to get 50% off. It uses same Du network so no issues.

Note that mobile plans are much more expensive here than almost anywhere else and so unlimited is available but not as popular

I use Etisalat. The best I could find is 1GB/day and 120 flexi mins for 90 days for around 140 AED. Wifi is available practically everywhere except on the streets, so 1GB/day is more than enough for me. You can also get variations of this -

90GB - 90 Days (1GB per Day) + 30 mins - 110 60 mins - 120 90 mins - 130 120 mins - 140

60GB - 60 Days (1GB per Day) + 30 mins - 90 60 mins - 100 90 mins - 110 120 mins - 120

30 GB - 30 Days (1GB per Day) + 60 mins - 60 90 mins - 70 120 mins - 80

60 GB - 30 Days (2GB per Day) + 20 mins - 65

All of these are flexi minutes, meaning you can make local and international calls using these minutes.

Buy Etisalat or Du prepaid sim card and they have offer for 1 gb daily for 30 days for 45 AED. This is the cheapest data pack available. You will have to top up more credit for calling.

Expect to pay 90 to 100 AED total every month for data and calling together. Data prices here are one of the most expensive globally and so are many other things, you'll experience it once you visit.

90-100aed per month is soo diabolical especially you get bare minimum at this rate😭😭 i hope there are free wifi places or else I’m gonna be stranded at a random place with no network to guide me …. Also any specific plans which is the best value?

This is the cheapest you can get here. If you choose unlimited data and calling it's 630 AED per month. There is nothing cheaper than the one I have mentioned, it's a pack you must activate every month.

Most businesses have WiFi for free but you'll need to spend money to use it.
