Post-midterm reflection: how do I further develop my grad school social life?

I feel pretty close to my cohort 9 weeks in but that’s about it. I’m not doing much out and about and in Athens and the other clubs I’m in I don’t feel really connected with anyone, despite sharing hobbies I have interest in. A big part of picking this school for me were the social opportunities, but I just haven’t found that yet. I also feel weird being not really removed from undergrad age-wise, yet definitely feeling that split between myself and the undergraduate population.

Any thoughts? Ideas? Rants? I’m all ears 👂

What are your interests and hobbies? I will say my grad school friends were all either in my program or also doing the same assistantship work I was doing.
