New Student Question spring transfer freshman

I just got into uiuc as a freshman for the spring and wanted to get some advice on what I should do. I don't know if I should go since Im worried about joining in the middle of the year and if anyone else who's transferred in the spring has made friends or a success story? Im just worried I won't make friends or be able to find okay housing if I just go in the fall I'll get to have the full transfer stuff and join the new freshman with quad day and stuff. Any advice?

I applied September 24th and I’m a comms major. I heard back the 14th of October

I arrived in Jan as a freshman and it turned out fine. Good dorm floor, lousy roommate. Made friends anyway.

Where did you end up dorming? I heard transfers go to Scott hall

I think that is the current transfer area, and it seems like a good idea since everyone is in the same boat, but a regular floor would be just fine since they will mostly be freshmen. I went to ISR but that was far too long ago to talk about ;)
