Some of these big names need to move to every two years or every three years and that’s ok. We can’t have the same twelve people taking up all the nighttime closing sets every year

No Carl, no Romero, no hardwell

Nicky Romero isn't a headliner anymore he's support he'll be on phase 2 if he's coming

u/pingvinbober 3d ago
That’s crazy. Like a year or so ago it’s Murph was playing at colleges

Guettas at Edco so can’t be announced if he was
3
u/Dismal_Programmer666 3d ago
No way he is going to be at phase two right?

u/juanderwear 🇫🇮 17 - 18 - 19 - 22 - 23 - 25 3d ago
Yes he can be. Phase 2 will be after edco and Basel ends
But yeah not holding my breathe for guetta

That’s not true. They have nothing to do with each other. Idk if he’ll be on phase 2 or not, but it has nothing to do with edc Orlando. I’d be shocked if hardwell wasn’t on phase 2, among others

Festivals have Radius clauses. Insomniac could have made guetta and hardwell not play any events in Florida until after edc

These festivals are more than 4 months apart and not even in the same calendar year. It’s highly unlikely it has anything on with that. Idk why we need to immediately jump to this, or try to find these special reasons why someone wasn’t announced on the lineup. There are many reasons why someone isn’t on the phase 1 lineup. First and foremost, they’re just not gonna announce everyone in phase 1. That would take the impact away from phase 2. Otherwise they’d just drop the full lineup all at once. Ultra is always very methodical with how they do these things. At the end of the day we’ll never really know. Come December we’ll see who gets added and who doesn’t.

I’m not saying it’s certain but it’s a possibility. It happens all the time. Chill

EDC Orlando may have some but not full Radius Clauses for Ultra Phase 1. I personally never consider it because (1) its in a different calendar year and (2) in a different city in Flordia.
However, We Belong Here (Miami and Tampa Bay), Breakaway Tampa (previously Sunset Music Festival), and Art Basel Annouced Lineups, Factory Town, Space, New Years Eve and Other already annouced shows between December and March...would affect seeing an artist on Ultra Miami P1. Okeechobee may also be a Raidus Claus, because it happens in March.

It always does. These artists sign contracts. It’s a radius clause to protect investments.
Local Florida people would skip edco if they could see them at ultra.

So I guess it only applies to some people, and not others. Since there’s many artists every year who play both festivals and are on both lineups from the beginning. Just at a glance, there’s Martin garrix, Holy Priest, Allison wonderland, and aftojack playing edc Orlando who are on the phase 1 for ultra.

Yes the bigger names are more protected than anything cause those are the ones that move money and sell tickets. It’s business

Like Martin garrix? lol

They all sign different contracts and get more money out of it. No contract is ever the same. Guetta is going to max out every inch of revenue he can.

Yeah each artist has different contracts. Garrix probably had an exception in his contract

Phase 2 and 3 exists

u/Real_Manufacturer684 3d ago
No, they are too big for phase 2/3

u/ChaosRandomness Miami - 18' 19' 20' 22' 23' 24' 25' 3d ago
What you mean too big. There is no such thing. It's all commitment. They don't want to announce someone they cannot confirm as well. Hence last years

u/Real_Manufacturer684 3d ago
Right, because festival marketing teams famously don’t care about putting their biggest ticket sellers on the first announcement. Phase 1 is apparently just the warm-up lineup and Phase 3 is where they unveil Taylor Swift.
There was no one big announced at phase 2 and three last year.

??? Garrix was easily the one folks went crazy on that was missing. Afrojack, Alan Walker, ARTBAT, even VOYD.

u/Real_Manufacturer684 2d ago
You really listed Afrojack and ARTBAT like you just dropped the smoking gun ... Garrix is basically guaranteed Ultra DLC every year. Show me the actual huge artist they hid until Phase 2/3

Last year they announced Garrix b2b Alesso in phase 2 and in 25 they announced Skrillex phase 3. At ultra 23, they announced Guetta, Tiesto, and Alesso phase 2.
