I know $449 sounds like a lot, but that’s a pretty good price for a Swiss movement and sapphire crystal.
With all this fancy merchandise the PO is releasing, for very expensive prices, NOW can we get a raise bigger than 1.3%? In fact, where DOES all this merchandising money go? Another $50K so David Steiner can move again on our dime?
If management would stop breaking the contract then they would save a lot of money on paying our grievances. Have you seen some of the numbers for how much is paid out each year?

I’ve had my eyes on the dress blue Hi-MTE’s since they came out but didn’t have money at launch and my size is rare on market cause it’s pretty down the middle average lol. Highs and lows always available, but being in the middle is rough sometimes lol.
you can get an eta mechanical movement in a watch for around $500 check out the Hamilton khaki field etc. an automatic mechanical movement such as the eta 2824 is around $60 last forever as long as you wear the watch or wind it.

It’s a beauty! Even though they raised the price a bit, I’d get it at the current price. I get lots of compliments when I wear it, and it’s versatile fashion-wise.
Edit: it looks big on my wrist because the photo is close up. 38 is the upper limit of what I would wear anyway, but it fits quite well. I just don’t have a farther away pic.
My daily is a VAER C5. Had it for 3 years, extremely durable. So I am seriously considering this watch. I am a avid watch collector, this would be my 14th watch.
They should give a few of these to people in each state like a raffle or something it would give a lot of good will and you could even do entry amounts based on senior so everything favors the old timers like always but we’re a shit company and they don’t even give us uniforms so
…Swiss movement? Bro, it’s a quartz. Maybe it’s a very nice moving quartz that doesn’t have the hands all wobbly when it ticks or something, but it’s still a one-tick-per-second movement with the exact same accuracy as every $20 watch at Walmart.
I’m not saying it isn’t worth the $450 to watch enthusiasts but I’d be pining after it if it were a mechanical. Honestly even if they just used an off-the-shelf Seiko movement or something lol
Just because it’s quartz doesn’t mean it’s not Swiss. I know what you’re specifically talking about, but Ronda is a Swiss movement. Just not the one a lot of people would’ve wanted I guess 🤷🏻♂️ I’ll still wear it.
I’d actually have been more impressed if they went with their FTS Ameriquartz partnership on this one. I didn’t know we had a quartz movement manufacturer in the US.
I’d also have been more impressed if I heard anything about a union involved in making this watch lol
"Swiss movement" sounds fancy, but this is a Ronda day/date quartz that probably cost $20. If it was mechanical, it would be worth this price. Same for sapphire crystal, that's pretty much standard these days.
Do not pay retail for this watch. Note "American Assembly" on the dial, not American Made.
