Lazio DiSCo Mensa for Erasmus students. Please help!

Hi everyone! I am an Erasmus student in Rome and as I understood we can also get some kind of discounts in certain mensas in the city. I sent a request through Lazio DiSCo website (which I must say was quite a challenge because there was no option to translate it into english) where I put all my info and sent a picture of myslef as well as ID card and other documentation required, but at the end, in order to coplete the process it just tells me to download an app and to connect it to my phone by scanning a generated QR code, but when I try it says it cannot generate a QR code, but doesn't say why. Also I didn't get any notification that my request is being checked or that it will take some time etc. (It does say that the request has been sent though).I am not familiar with how that works, do I have to wait now until someone goes through my request and approves it. Also I don't belong to any special category, just want the basic thing. Thanks everyone for any kind of help!
