Fall Financial Aid
When should I expect my award package for fall? I’ve called and emailed and have gotten zero response. This is my first full semester and I’m a little perplexed why I haven’t received an award. NWACC awards like months in advance. What do I do? I do have VA aid incoming so it’ll get paid but still. Why is it taking so long?

Reach out to the VA office on campus! I believe the coordinators name is Rachel Cooke and she can help you see what needs to be done and give advice. She is very knowledgeable!

There was a change in processing scholarships last academic year due to the implementation of WorkDay student so things are slooooow. I was overseeing the scholarship process for one of the colleges last year, and got many worried emails and phone calls from students about their award. Not in that role anymore, but my understanding is the scholarship office is super backed up… BUT the deadline for tuition being due? The scholarship office said last year that students have one week AFTER the tuition deadline to pay their tuition before facing any late fees. (Just looked at the UA treasurers website, and looks like the date you would face a late fee is 9/21/26) You might trying going in person to their office located in the Silas Hunt building on the corner of maple and garland. I’m so sorry this is happening! You should get to focus on getting acclimated to campus and focus on your classes, not worrying for your awards to be processed… Hope it gets figured out soon!!
