First time being to this part of the city. Love the flora and trees in parts of the city, it makes the place seem more livable.

Haze is unstoppable. Unable to do a proper walk outside

My mother has fond memories of going to the beach in Golem, when It was full of maritime pines and she used to gather pine cone seeds to eat. It was during the Enver Hoxha socialist regime but It was cleaner.

After the totalitarian government fell and Albania started growing economically, they cut down most of those trees to build dozens of pointless hotels and there are still many being built.

It's assumed most of those constructions are raised by dirty money with a lot of speculation and corruption involved.

I understand that Albania is a growing economy and they need the money from tourism, but It's a shame how they use so much resources to build resorts but only crumbs into restoring their railway system or improving garbage disposal facilities.
